So, what is Herbs de Provence? As I said before, it’s an herb blend. Specifically, it’s a blend containing rosemary, savory, marjoram, thyme, and oregano.

Today, it’s sold pre-packaged as a seasoning, which makes it easier on you and your budget! Here are my favorite and fabulous recipes with Herbs de Provence.

1. Herbs de Provence Chicken

There’s nothing quite like finding a meal that’s both easy and tasty. And that’s exactly what you get with this Herbs de Provence chicken. It’s an ideal recipe for entertaining guests.

This dish features skin-on chicken thighs that are coated in Herbs de Provence. They’re baked over a layer of shallots, lemons, garlic, thyme, and vermouth.

As they cook, chicken fat and juices drip onto the goodies below. This creates a fantastic sauce. And the chicken skin stays super crispy and mouthwatering.

Serve this with pasta, roasted veggies, or mashed potatoes!

2. Provencal New Potatoes

You can serve that last recipe with these potatoes on the side! The flavors will go well together since they use the same herb blend. Plus, it’s healthy as well as delectable.

Provencal new potatoes are a roasted potato dish. They also have onions, garlic, tomatoes, and olives. Simply toss everything (sans olives) with olive oil and red wine vinegar

Of course, you can’t forget Herbs de Provence and other seasonings, like red pepper and salt. Roast everything until the potatoes are fork-tender. Add the olives and enjoy!

3. Best Easy Healthy Baked Salmon

There’s something magical about salmon. You can’t go wrong with this pink, flaky fish that’s bursting with delicious flavor.

This easy, healthy salmon with Herbs de Provence is even more magical! And it definitely has something to do with the herbs. They add so much wonderful flavor.

4. Pan-Fried Trout with Herbs de Provence

If salmon is out of your budget, you can still have a delicious dinner. Use trout instead! You can even catch it yourself if you like to fish!

Trout’s naturally mild and almost nutty flavors pair perfectly with Herbs de Provence. It’s a simple, quick, and dangerously tasty dinner.

5. Roasted Fish with Herbs de Provence and Radishes

I love roasting food because of how delicious the end result is. Roasting brings out the best of your meats and veggies. This dish proves it!

You can use whatever fish you like. Just smother it in Herbs de Provence. No matter the fish, the zesty brightness of roasted radishes balances it perfectly.

6. Herbs de Provence Grilled Steak

I’m a sucker for grilled steak. The combo of fire, charcoal, smoke, and meat is to die for. I generally prefer to keep my grilled steak as minimally seasoned as possible. You know, just a little salt and pepper… perhaps some garlic. But this steak is the exception.

Every herb in the Provence blend works overtime to make your mouth happy. And when paired with grilled steak, it succeeds completely.

7. Savory Beef Stew

This is one of the best beef stew recipes I’ve ever tried. It’s thick, meaty, and savory, and will stick to your bones.

It’s both classic and complex, filled with herbs, other aromatics, and plenty of veggies.

8. Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

There’s nothing more nostalgic than homemade chicken noodle soup. It warms the soul, literally and figuratively. And every slurping spoonful is absolutely delicious.

This soup is full of chunky chicken, thick egg noodles, and vegetables. The broth is seasoned beautifully with Herbs de Provence, garlic, onions, salt, and pepper.

And yes, it’s far better than Campbell’s.

9. Provencal-Style Winter Vegetable Soup

There’s no need to make soup and salad with this recipe, as this veggie soup covers both courses. It’s ideal for warming up cold winter nights, all while getting in some extra veggies.

Plus, it’s so versatile. This recipe features vegetables that are in season during the winter. But you can customize it to whatever season you’re in.

Just don’t forget the herb blend! That’s what really makes this soup shine.

10. Bistro French Onion Soup with Herbs de Provence Croutons

I’m really not very picky when it comes to soups. I love them all. But French onion soup has a special place in my heart.

Its flavor is wonderfully developed, full of caramelized oniony goodness. And the Herbs de Provence croutons add the perfect savory crunch!

11. Herbs de Provence Pork Chops

These Herbs de Provence pork chops are easy peasy and super tasty. They’re a perfect weeknight meal that the whole family will love.

The chops are juicy and flavorful, which can be hard to do. But this recipe breaks it down, so you get perfect chops every time.

12. Herbs de Provence Roasted Turkey

But if you prefer poultry, this roasted turkey is a game-changer! Your friends and family will beg for it next Thanksgiving.

The meat is succulent and aromatic, with notes of lemon and onions. But the crispy, Herbs de Provence butter-smothered, salty skin is the best part.

13. Creamy French Scrambled Eggs

Your breakfast game just got a whole lot stronger! These eggs are cooked low and slow, so they become incredibly soft and creamy.

Plus, it helps that they’re also loaded with rich cream and flavorful herbs. Serve them over buttered toast for a real treat!

14. Creamy Garlic Herb Mushroom Spaghetti

Hearty, rustic, earthy, this spaghetti is all that and more! It’s easy to make, vegetarian, and quite frankly, divine.

Once you try it, you’ll make it all the time.

15. Red Pistou Pasta with Shrimp and Crunchy Herbs de Provence Crumb

Pistou is France’s version of pesto, but it’s made without nuts. And like the Italian version, pistou comes in two main varieties: green basil and red sun-dried tomato

This delicious pasta is loaded with tangy sun-dried tomato pesto and jumbo shrimp. But the Herbs de Provence crumb takes it over the top!

16. No-Mayo Chicken Pasta Salad

This is not your average, boring pasta salad. This one is fresh and full of good things like chicken, greens, beans, and herbs.

It’s a food love story, dedicated to Southern French cuisine

17. Tomato Bruschetta with Herbs de Provence

Bruschetta is one of the easiest and most delicious appetizers around. This version is particularly easy!

Simply toss chopped grape tomatoes with olive oil, Herbs de Provence, and red wine vinegar. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve it over slices of French baguette.

18. Herbs de Provence Roasted Tomatoes

Simple does not mean boring. Take these roasted tomatoes for example. You only need to gather Herbs de Provence, Roma tomatoes, salt, and olive oil.

Drizzle the tomatoes with olive oil and then seasonings, then roast them. That’s it. And it’s utterly scrumptious!

Pro Tip: Use these tomatoes in the bruschetta recipe above!

19. Herbs de Provence Sweet Potato Fries

I would give up all other fries for these Herbs de Provence sweet potato fries. They’re the perfect combo of sweet and savory. And they’re actually pretty crispy for oven fries!

Plus, they’re healthier and tastier, so really, you’re winning.

20. Herbs de Provence Oven Fries

If sweet potato fries aren’t your thing, these old-fashioned oven fries might be. They’re thick and delicious, and they’re smothered in olive oil, salt, and Herbs de Provence.

They explode with flavor and will keep you coming back for more.

21. Quick Creamy Herb Dip

If you need something to dip those fries in, look no further! This dip is fresh, tangy, and full of earthy herbs. Of course, it’s also great for chips or veggies.

You can also dollop it on your favorite meaty entree!

22. Ratatouille

Don’t worry, no animated rats were harmed in the making of this dish. In fact, the stew that gave the Pixar movie its name is actually vegetarian.

Instead, this stew is made with a veritable garden full of veggies and herbs. It’s not a super saucy stew, but that’s okay. All the liquid comes from the veggies themselves.

23. Ham and White Bean Soup

If a cozy comfort meal is what you’re after, look no further. This ham and white bean soup is the definition of coziness. And the fact that it’s absolutely mouthwatering is just a bonus!

It’s full of flavorful ham, Herbs de Provence, veggies, and white beans. It’s thick, but not overwhelming. You can eat it and enjoy it in every season!

24. Mac and Cheese with Herbs de Provence

Baked mac and cheese can be hit or miss. The keys to this dish are a crispy crust topping with a super gooey inside. And that’s exactly what you get in this recipe.

The macaroni itself is perfectly cooked and smothered in cheesy goodness. It’s topped with a mixture of buttery toasted panko and Herbs de Provence. It’s perfect.

25. Classic French Cassoulet

French cassoulet is like the lovechild of stew and casserole. Cassoulet is made in a casserole dish, hence the name. But it feels like a really thick and fabulous stew.

It’s one of the most hearty and comforting dishes you will ever eat. It’s loaded with chicken, sausage, beans, leeks, carrots, and other veggies.

In true French fashion, it also contains Herbs de Provence and white wine. It is baked for 2 hours until everything is tender and succulent.

26. Fried Mashed Potato Cakes with Herbs de Provence

Are you like me and always make way too many mashed potatoes? Well, these mashed potato cakes are the solution to that problem.

Each fritter is made with mashed potatoes, breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. They’re pan-fried in a delicious lemony Herbs de Provence compound butter.

27. Herbed Dinner Rolls

No matter what’s on the menu, these rolls are the perfect side. In fact, I think you’ll find excuses to make them over and over again.

These rolls are the perfect combination of fluffy, soft, and buttery. And when you add in Herbs de Provence, they become wonderfully savory.

Before they bake, top them with butter and salt. OMG, they’re fantastic.
