You could use the 8×8 – it will just be thicker and possibly need an extra 5 minutes in the oven.
Is the aluminum pan the kind you throw away or anodized aluminum?
If it’s disposable, I’d add a layer of parchment as the pan may react with the acidic fruit. And place a tray underneath as they’re quite thin.
Either way, keep an eye on it in the oven and remove it when the fruit it bubbling
