Cantaloupe and Honeydew Melon Cocktails & Drink Recipes
Who knew mixing alcohol with melons could be so darn tasty?
I’m a huge fan of watermelon cocktails for their refreshingly sweet taste and vibrant color.
But these cantaloupe and honeydew melon cocktails are just too good to miss.
Because from martinis to mocktails and everything in between, summer fruits really do make the perfect addition to cold drinks.
1. Fresh Honeydew Margarita
I had to start with my go-to summer drink (because you must know by now I’m a marg-fanatic!).
There’s nothing better than a cool margarita on a hot day. And while I love the classics, this honeydew recipe is insanely good.
Every sip is cool, crisp, and oh-so-refreshing.
Best of all, you only need three ingredients! And don’t forget to salt your rim for an unforgettable treat.
Ingredients: honeydew melon, tequila, lime juice, simple syrup or agave nectar, ice cubes, lime wedge, salt & chili powder (for the rim)
2. Honeydew Martini
The bright green color of this next drink isn’t the only thing you’ll love about this pretty martini.
You’ll also appreciate the light and breezy combination of honeydew puree, lime juice, Triple Sec, and Champagne.
Whether you need a drink for your next St. Paddy’s Day bash or just want something to cool you off by the pool, this recipe will serve you well.
So grab your melon baller, and let’s get shaking!
Ingredients: vodka, Midori melon liqueur, Triple Sec, Champagne or Prosecco, honeydew melon puree, melon balls & mint leaves (for garnish)
3. Cantaloupe Basil Coolers
If there’s only one drink you make this summer, let it be this cantaloupe and basil cooler.
Trust me, you’ll adore the refreshing sweetness of the fruit with the herbal kick of the basil.
All you need is some basil-infused vodka and pureed melon. Mix it over ice and enjoy!
Ingredients: cantaloupe, water, sugar, basil leaves, vodka, ice cubes, mint sprig (for garnish)
4. Honeydew Mojitos
Do you love all things mojito? If the answer is yes, this cocktail is for you.
Every sip hits you with a wave of invigorating minty flavors, balanced out by a sugary honeydew.
You’ll love the flavor almost as much as the stunning green color, making it a great warm season drink for any occasion.
Ingredients: honeydew melons, white rum, mint leaves, lime juice, agave nectar, ice, mint sprig (for garnish)
5. Cantaloupe Grapefruit Martini
This summer bevy is the perfect drink for entertaining guests on your deck. And that pretty peach hue will look incredible in your Instagram feed!
You can easily prepare a large batch of cantaloupe-infused vodka ahead, making drink prep a breeze.
And the added grapefruit juice tones down the fruity sweetness, so it’s super well-balanced.
Just be sure you get ripe cantaloupe. Otherwise, the drink will be bitter.
Ingredients: cantaloupes, vodka grapefruit juice, ice cubes, lime wedge & sugar (for garnish)
6. Strawberry Melon Fizz
Here’s another brunch fave that’ll brighten up your Instagram feed. I mean, does it get any better than fresh strawberries and sweet melons?
Every sip cools you down with revitalizing, sugary flavors, making this the perfect bevy for balmy days.
So the next time you need a great mocktail, try out this strawberry and melon fizz.
Or make it boozy with a glug of your favorite white rum or vodka. Easy peasy!

If you want to take your taste buds to the spa, you can’t beat it.
It’s one of those summer cocktail recipes you’ll come back to again and again. And it’s always my choice for a backyard bash with friends.
The edible flowers are optional, but let’s be honest: they’re too pretty to leave out.
Ingredients: white wine, Triple Sec, cantaloupe, lime wedges, ginger simple syrup, ginger ale, ice cubes, mint sprigs, melon balls & edible flowers (for garnish)
8. Honeydew Daiquiri
Are you looking for a light, chilled cocktail to pair with a heavy meal? This honeydew daiquiri definitely fits the bill.
Ready to pour in under five minutes, it’s ideal for weekend nights in.
And while you can use regular lime juice, I highly recommend key lime juice if you can find it. It’s lighter, sweeter, and wonderfully aromatic.
Ingredients: honeydew melon, agave nectar, light rum, key lime juice, ice
9. Honeydew Basil Spritzer
Here’s another melon cocktail with basil, only this version is sweeter and bubblier!
Honeydew and basil go together like peanut butter and jelly. And you’ll love how the basil adds a savory brightness to the sticky-sweet honeydew.
The combination of sauvignon blanc, basil, and melon is guaranteed to make your mouth water.
The recipe suggests soda water to make it a spritz, but I like to use citrus seltzer for a boost of flavor.
Ingredients: honeydew melon, fresh basil, simple syrup, sauvignon blanc, soda water
10. Honeydew Melon Bellini
Peach Bellinis are a thing of beauty. But I think you’ll really enjoy this melon twist on the classic.
The honeydew Bellini is just as fruity, but it’s less sweet. And I find that means I can enjoy it more!
Every slurp unleashes a flurry of sparkling, sugary bubbles on your palate, making you instantly crave another sip.
Ingredients: honeydew melon, lime juice, sugar, Prosecco
11. Melon Gin and Tonic

12. 4-Ingredient Citrus & Melon Spritzer
Can you believe this striking drink only contains four ingredients?
That’s right! To make this sizzling summertime spritzer, all you have to do is combine honeydew melon, lime juice, cane sugar, and club soda.
Toss in a couple of cherries or a few slices of cucumber as a garnish, and you’re all set.
Ingredients: honeydew melon, lime juice, cane sugar, club soda, cherries, sliced cucumber & mint (for garnish)
13. Mixed Melon & Limoncello Sangria
I was lucky enough to spend some time in Italy this summer. And when I tell you I drank my weight in Limoncello, I’m not kidding!
But this melon and lemon sangria might be my new favorite way to drink this Italian liqueur.
Between the mint leaves, melon, and Pinot Grigio, it’s bright, light, and wonderfully refreshing.

If you don’t like the taste of booze but still want to indulge in a fancy cocktail, then you’ll appreciate the Japanese Slipper.

Did I save the best for last? You tell me!
This cantaloupe margarita is my summer cocktail dreams come true. It’s sweet, citrusy, and loaded with melony goodness.
It’s ideal for that leftover melon you have in the fridge. And all you need to do is blitz it until smooth, then strain the pulp.
How easy is that?
