Dragon Fruit Cocktails & Drink Recipes
If you’re familiar with the Starbucks Dragon Drink, then you know exactly how yummy this unique fruit is.
From the vibrant pink and green exterior to the soft, white (sometimes magenta!) flesh, its subtly sweet and refreshing flavor makes it perfect for cocktails.
I’m talking mimosas, mojitos, margaritas, and more!
So try these dragon fruit cocktails and get ready to be dazzled.
1. Dragon Fruit Lychee Mimosa
Effervescent, floral, and delicious are the perfect words to describe this mimosa. In fact, I daresay it’s the best mimosa you’ll ever have.
It’s definitely in my Top 3 in terms of taste. But that stunning appearance takes it to #1!
It’s refreshing, sweet, and bubbly with a nice kick of lychee juice. Seriously, it’s hard to beat.
Ingredients: white and pink dragon fruit, lychee juice, Champagne, lime juice, kaffir lime leaves (for garnish)
2. Pink Dragon Fruit Cocktail
If you’re looking to impress at your next party with an extraordinary drink, look no further than this recipe.
This pretty pink drink looks and tastes amazing. And all you need is a handful of ingredients.
Simply muddle the dragon fruit to release the juices and color. Then add the rest of the ingredients, mix, and enjoy. That’s it!
Ingredients: pink dragon fruit, vodka, sparkling water or citrus soda, lime juice, ice, lime slices & mint sprig (for garnish)
3. Dragon Fruit Mojito
If you’re a regular reader, then you know all about my love for mojitos. So, of course, I had to add a mojito to the list!
The sweet tropical flavor of dragon fruit is a beautiful addition to this refreshing and citrusy cocktail.
Trust me, you’re gonna love it.
Ingredients: dragon fruit purée, lime juice, vanilla extract, agave nectar, white rum, sparkling water, ice, mint sprig & lime slice (for garnish)
4. Dragon Fruit Cucumber Limeade
Every sip of this delicious drink is like a party in your mouth.
Sweet, spicy, tart, and cooling, it really does have it all. Plus, that gorgeous color sure is a head-turner.
Simply put, this is an excellent and totally refreshing drink for any occasion.
You can use vodka or tequila for this one. I personally think the latter works best with the jalapeño garnish, but it’s up to you.
Ingredients: dragon fruit syrup, lime juice, cucumber, jalapeño slices, ice, vodka or tequila, sparkling water
5. Dragon Fruit Margarita
I may be a mojito lover, but I’m a margarita gal through and through. And I just adore this bright pink summer drink!
Full disclosure: this recipe calls for vodka over tequila. And the purist in me just can’t do it.
It’s not a margarita without tequila, right?
But for those of you that want a bright, sweet, boozy drink without tequila, go ahead and use vodka instead. It’ll be just as delicious!
Ingredients: ice, frozen dragon fruit, vodka or tequila, lemon or lime juice, simple syrup
6. Frozen Pineapple Dragon Fruit Margaritas
Here’s a margarita recipe we can all get behind!
It’s got everything we all love about the classic marg – lime, tequila, and orange liqueur.
But it goes a step further and adds the tongue-tingling tartness of pineapple juice and the sweet and floral flavor of dragon fruit.
Oh yeah, this is not one to miss.
Ingredients: pineapple juice, ice, dragon fruit, frozen pineapple, tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, salt, pineapple wedges, dragon fruit & lime slices (for garnish)
7. Daenerys Mother Of Dragons Cocktail
Channel your inner Khaleesi with this fantasy-filled cocktail. Inspired by everyone’s favorite Targaryen, this drink will change the world as you know it.
Okay, that might be a bit of a stretch. But, it is impressive in taste and appearance.
And if you know nothing about Game of Thrones, that’s okay. Just know that this drink is delicious.
Ingredients: dragon fruit, lemon juice, rum, club soda, ice
8. Cersei’s Sangria
Keeping with the Game of Thrones theme, let me introduce you to Cersei’s Sangria.
Inspired by the Lannister queen everyone loves to hate (and her love of wine), this is as twisted as Cersei herself.
Like any good sangria, it’s loaded with fruit, including dragon fruit, star fruit, mango, lime, and blood orange.
Plus, an entire bottle of dry red wine for good measure.
Ingredients: cabernet sauvignon, sugar, dragon fruit, blood orange, lime juice, starfruit, mango
9. Dragon Colada
This fabulous drink is perfect for sipping poolside, beachside, or whenever you want to relax.
Because it’s basically a piña colada sans the pineapple, but you’ll use dragon fruit for a sweeter finish!
Talk about a fun twist on the classic drink!
As I’m sure you can imagine, the prominent flavor is still coconut. And there’s plenty of rum to warm your throat. Yum!
Ingredients: dragon fruit, ice, white rum, coconut milk
10. Dragon’s Milk
In a final ode to the Mother of Dragons, this drink is strong yet sweet.
The flavor is complex and delectable, so you’ll love it as much as the people loved the Breaker of Chains herself.
It’s made with white dragon fruit, though if you want it pink, go ahead and use magenta fruit! It’ll have the same great flavor, it just won’t look like milk.
Ingredients: dragon fruit, vodka, thyme simple syrup, lemon juice, coconut cream, coconut water
