If you’re a fan of tropical drinks with fun umbrellas, you’ll love them.
Passoã is a passion fruit liqueur that pairs well with everything from lemon and vodka to pineapple and rum.
And like the passion fruit it’s derived from, it’s sweet, tart, and utterly delectable.
It tastes like summer, so expect these Passoã cocktails to be bright and sunny.
I promise each sip is better than the last. So make one (or all eight) of these passion fruit cocktail recipes and get ready to sail to paradise.
8 Must-Try Cocktails with Passoã
1. Passoã Orange Cocktail
If you think cocktails require a bunch of fancy ingredients and top-shelf liqueurs, think again.
This sunset-like drink is absolutely scrumptious, and it only needs two ingredients. In fact, it’s the most common way to enjoy Passoã in Europe.
Are you ready for this? Mix Passoã and orange juice, and…that’s it!
It’s best done in a shaker with ice, but it’ll be just as yummy if you mix them in a glass.
Just grab a spoon, fork, or knife and swirl them around until they look combined.
(Bartenders, please don’t come for me…)
Serve over ice, and enjoy!
2. Pornstar Martini
Say what you will about the name, but this drink is ballin’.
It’ll excite your taste buds with its sinfully delicious sweet and sour palate. And it’s simply stunning, to boot!
This drink is boozy, fresh, and oh-so-flavorful.
Between the Passoã, vodka, passion fruit juice, passion fruit puree, and lime, it’s beyond divine.
There’s also vanilla-simple syrup to balance out the tartness of the other ingredients.
It’s served with half a passion fruit floating on top for drama and deliciousness.
3. Passion Fruit Margarita
Whether it’s Taco Tuesday, game day, or ladies’ night, margaritas are always a good idea.
And when I tell you I ran to the kitchen to make this, I’m serious! Heck, it’s five o’clock somewhere, right?
It has all the typical margarita players: tequila, salt, and lime. But it’s made even better with Passoã, triple sec, and tonic water.
It’s light, it’s flavorful, and it is STRONG.
This one is served without ice, but feel free to add some. Even better: give it a whoosh in the blender and make it slushy!
4. Hurricane Cody
I know these drinks are called Hurricanes because of the glass they’re served in.
But let’s be honest, one too many and you’ll feel like you’ve just been through a category 5.
This tropical drink is delicious, and it is powerful! With no less than five different alcohols that you can barely taste, it’ll sneak up on you.
I’m talking Passoã, dark rum, gold rum, white rum, and Cointreau to round out the booze.
Then there’s pineapple juice, cinnamon syrup, cherry syrup, and orange bitters.
It’s sweet, tart, and tropical, with a hint of warmth from the cinnamon.
So sip carefully.
5. Tropical Sangria
I love a glass of sangria. It’s kind of like an über boozy fruit salad, and I am here for it.
And since I’m a sucker for all things fruity and tropical, this sangria is my favorite.
I think you might like it, too. After all, it’s divine.
Featuring practically the entire liquor store, you’ll need Cointreau, Passoã, white wine, white rum, peach schnapps, Licor 43, and Moscato.
Add some simple syrup, pineapple juice, lime juice, and guava nectar to mellow it out, along with plenty of fruit.
Mango, pineapple, kiwi, guava, berries, and papaya are recommended. I also add passion fruit.
6. Passoã Sour
If you like Sour Patch Kids, this drink is calling your name. First, it’s sour, then it’s sweet.
But it’s always scrumptious.
Along with Passoã, lemon juice, and simple syrup, you’ll also include egg whites.
They add creaminess to the mix and give you that fabulous foam on top. Trust me, it’s not to be missed.
7. Raspberry Passion Fruit Tequila Sour
You had me at tequila!
This tequila sour might just be my new favorite cocktail. Seriously, it’s completely addictive!
Passion fruit and raspberry go so well together. And this cocktail highlights that perfectly.
Every sip is sweet, sour, fresh, and fruity. But it’s also wonderfully boozy!
You’ll need fresh raspberries, fresh passion fruit, vanilla syrup, Passoã, lime juice, and tequila Blanco.
The result is as pretty as it is delicious! You can’t have just one.
8. Halloween Cosmopolitan Cocktail
This cosmo is Halloween orange, and it’s scary good.
You only need three ingredients for the drink and two for the fancy rim. Though a fun Halloween cocktail glass would work too.
Featuring Passoã, Malibu, and orange juice, it’s so tropical and sweet it’ll give you the chills.
Feel free to rim the glass with water or lime juice. But if you want to go all out, try the redcurrant jam and sugar – it’s absolutely delicious.
It’s fun and totally festive, especially if you add the plastic spiders!
