Homemade BBQ Baked Beans

Pasta salad is light, tangy, and refreshing. So it pairs perfectly with a juicy burger.

Plus, it’s super easy to make and feeds a crowd!

This recipe is a little different than the usual mayo-heavy pasta salad you’re used to.

For extra flavor, season these bad boys with garlic powder and rosemary. Yum!

Savory Zesty Sauce with Onion Rings on a Plate

Creamy Coleslaw in a White Bowl

6. Creamy Coleslaw

This is one of those creamy and refreshing hamburger sides you’ll see at every cookout during the summer.

Slaw is rich, crunchy, and super easy to modify with extras or a different dressing.

Pea Salad

10. Pea Salad

Pea salad has a little bit of everything, and I couldn’t be happier!

Then, dial up the creaminess factor with mayo and sour cream. It’s a must-try recipe that goes so great with burgers!

French fries

11. Popeye’s French Fries

Why make regular old French fries when you can make Popeye’s famous fries at home?

They’re seasoned to perfection with a blend of savory spices, then baked in the oven until golden.

Beware: these fries are downright addictive.

Creamy Potato Salad with Herbs

12. Classic Potato Salad Recipe

I love the contrast of warm meat juices with the creamy sauce. Throw in some peppery red onion for a bit of crunch, and you’re all set.

Fried Dill Pickles

Corn Pudding

21. Creamed Corn Pudding

I know there are a lot of corn recipes on this list of hamburger sides, but that’s only because the two are so summery.

But rather than serving sloppy creamed corn on paper plates, try this creamed corn pudding instead.

It’s just as rich and soft, but it holds its shape a little better, thanks to the eggs and cornstarch. Oh, and there’s even a bit of crunch around the edges!

Amish Macaroni Salad

22. Amish Macaroni Salad

Macaroni salad is as synonymous with grilling as potato salad or grilled corn.

Make this grilling season one to remember with these easy and delicious sides for burgers. Check out my personal favorite: Dill Pickle Pasta Salad.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups uncooked rotini pasta

  • 2/3 cup mayonaise

  • 1/3 cup finely chopped dill pickles (or more to taste)

  • 1 tablespoon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon white sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1/8 teaspoon celery salt

  • 1 pinch garlic powder (or more to taste)

Instructions

  • Start by bringing a large pot of water to boil. Once it’s roiling, salt the water, add the rotini pasta, and cook until al dente (approximately 8 minutes).
  • While the noodles are cooking, whisk all of the other ingredients together in a medium bowl, leaving some pickles set aside. This will make your dressing. If you are using fresh herbs or pickle juice, you can add them now as well.
  • When the noodles are ready, rinse them in cold water and add them to a large bowl. Allow the noodles to cool completely.
  • (NOTE: This is where you’ll want to add any vegetables, meat, or cheese from the variations.)
  • Cover the noodles in the dressing and mix, mix, mix!
  • Chill at least one hour and then serve. Top with more pickles.
