Kool-Aid Pie
Whether you’re looking for the perfect party dessert or craving something sweet, this is the recipe for you!
This pie is packed with fruity flavors, and it’s completely customizable. Plus, it’s an easy no-bake pie the whole family will love.
Just mix, pour, and let it set. After a few hours in the fridge, it’s creamy and ready to be devoured.
The only thing missing is a pitcher of Kool-Aid on the side!
Ingredients
- Sweetened Condensed Milk: For the most scrumptious milky sweetness, be sure to get condensed milk, not evaporated. The thickness helps the filling set.
- Unsweetened Drink Mix (aka, Kool-aid): Use your favorite flavor and feel free to get creative!
- Whipped Topping: It’s a quick and easy way to thicken the filling and give it a light, fluffy, and mousse-like finish.
- Graham Cracker Crust: There’s nothing better than a ready-made pie crust! Go for graham cracker or Oreo if you like!
How to Make Kool-Aid Pie
Ready to get mixing? Here’s the basic steps for this recipe:
1. Mix the Kool-Aid and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Then, gently stir in the whipped topping.
2. Pour the filling into the crust and smooth it out with a spatula.
3. Chill the pie for at least one hour so it sets. Then slice, serve, and enjoy!
Recipe Tips and Variations
There are plenty of ways to make this pie your own. So, check out these tips and variations before you start:
- Chill out. The longer the pie chills, the thicker and creamier the filling will be. Give it one hour at least!
- Add mix-ins. Feel free to stir in crushed cookies, chocolate chips, or even a swirl of marshmallow creme.
- Stick with Cool Whip. You can use freshly made whipped cream if you prefer. But Cool Whip is much more stable and it means the pie will last longer.
- Make it extra colorful. Double the recipe, and make half with one flavor and half with another. Then, swirl them together in two pie crusts. I think blue raspberry and strawberry would be great together!
- Make it for a crowd. You’ll need to make the base with graham cracker crumbs and butter. Press it into a lightly greased and lined 9×13-inch baking dish. After that, double the filling, pour, and set as instructed.

I love the easy pie recipes and others but what I don’t care for is when a recipe calls for “a container” of cool whip and assumes we know what size of a container to use. Not sure about the stores where you are but the stores here usually carry 3 sometimes 4 different sizes . Maybe we can start clarifying which size products should be used especially for the newby cooks out there? I know it would help my grand daughter a lot, she’s likely to add either the largest or even the smallest of whatever she can find.
Don’t take this wrong, I love what you do and love that you share❣️ I really like seeing all of the old and new recipes. Keep up the great work and God bless you!
Always a fan,
Carla
Hi Carla! Thanks for catching that! It’s actually a typo on our end. I’ve added the missing info 🙂 Thanks again!!
I don’t see your addition anywhere? Please what size kool aid!
Hi Ann!
You need one standard (0.16 ounce) package of Kool Aid.
I’ve added this to the recipe 🙂
I have been making this pie for years. I put 8 ounces of cream cheese, a small can of sweetened condensed milk, and a small can of crushed pineapples (drained). Also a pack of unsweetened pink kool-aid and 2 16-ounce bowls of cool whip. Mixed together, it makes 2 thick pies or 4 smaller pies. You can top with cherry pie filling if desired.
My aunt brings a Kool-Aid pie with a recipe very similar to this one every year for our 4th of July celebration. 🙂
