How to Make a Cupid’s Kiss Cocktail
Like most cocktail recipes, this one is super simple. You can have it ready in 5 minutes or less!
1. RIM GLASSES. Run a lemon wedge around the top of two glasses. Add the sugar to a shallow bowl, and dip the top of each glasses evenly.
2. MUDDLE the strawberries and cherry juice in a cocktail shaker. Add the rum, blood orange juice, simple syrup, pomegranate juice, and ice, and shake well for 30 to 40 seconds.
3. SERVE. Strain the mixture into the glasses, and add a splash of sparkling rosé. Garnish with fresh strawberries, and enjoy.

Tips for the Best Cupid’s Kiss Cocktail
The following is a list of great tips I’ve come up with for this recipe:
- Use high-quality ingredients. Select premium rum and juices to elevate the cocktail’s flavor. Don’t use maraschino cherry juice that’s been sitting in your fridge for a year, either. Every ingredient matters, so fresh is always best.
- Master the cocktail shaking technique. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds or more with two hands, ensuring the shaker is firmly sealed. Look for condensation on the outside of the shaker, which indicates proper mixing and chilling.
- Perfect the glass rim. Wet the rim with lemon juice or simple syrup before adding the sugar to ensure an even, attractive crust. Use fine sugar for a more elegant finish.
- Use fresh, high-quality ice. Consider using larger ice cubes to prevent dilution. Or crushed ice for a more refined presentation. Avoid using old or freezer-burned ice that can dilute flavor.
- Chill your glassware. Pre-chill the glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. Doing so will help keep the drink cold longer.
- Garnish with intention. Use fresh strawberries, and cut them into heart shapes for a romantic touch. A well-chosen garnish can elevate the entire cocktail experience. You can also add edible glitter, Valentine’s candy on skewers, etc.
