There is no arguing they are delicious, but they can take a while to make, especially if you are hoping to cook them for a crowd.

This recipe keeps the buffalo flavor you know and love, but simplifies the cooking process. This way, you’ll get your favorite food and still have time to socialize.

This recipe can be a little salty, so make sure you’re using the unsalted version of many of the ingredients, especially the butter!

You can also opt for lower sodium options of Worcestershire sauce to cut back on salt even further.

While you can use fresh or frozen wings in this recipe, fresh is always better. You will get a better flavor from a fresh wing than a frozen one.

If you can only find whole chicken wings, cut them into pieces by using a sharp knife to separate the wing parts at the joint.

You’ll also want to remove the tip of the wing.

While cooking wings, you’ll want to make sure the chicken wing reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

When you check the temperature of the wings, make sure you are measuring from the center of the thickest past.

  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle hot pepper sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot®)

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 butter

  • 2 tablespoons 2 Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 teaspoons 2 dried oregano

  • 2 teaspoons 2 onion powder

  • 2 teaspoons 2 garlic powder

  • 1 (4 pound) frozen chicken wing sections, thawed

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 butter

  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle hot pepper sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot®)


  • In a saucepan, bring 1 bottle hot pepper sauce, 1/2 cup butter, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, onion powder, and garlic powder to a boil. Once boiling, turn the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Place the chicken wings in a slow cooker and cover with sauce mixture. Cook wings on high for two hours, and then on low for an additional two hours.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease several baking sheets.
  • Transfer the wings to prepared baking sheets and cook for half an hour.
  • While the wings are baking, melt 1/2 cup of butter and 1 bottle of hot sauce in a pan. Simmer for about 20 minutes, or until thickened. Brush this sauce on the wings right before serving.
