Why You’ll Love This Chocolate Peppermint Mocktail
Festive Holiday Flavor: The rich chocolate and cool peppermint perfectly capture the essence of the holidays. Plus, the crushed peppermints on the rim make the drink extra Christmassy.
Party Time-Saver: Blend and chill the drink in advance, then stir and serve when needed. Easy peasy.
Creamy & Indulgent: Each sip is thick and luxurious. It’s like a silky-smooth dessert in a glass.
Ingredients
- Milk: The liquid base that makes the drink smooth and creamy. Use whole milk for the best taste and texture.
- Sweetened Condensed Milk: For a rich sweetness and an incredible silky thickness. It transforms the mocktail from a simple drink to a decadent, dessert-like experience.
- Chocolate Syrup: For the rim and the drink itself. It delivers a deep chocolate flavor and additional sweetness.
- Peppermint Extract: The magic ingredient that provides the signature cool, minty freshness. Don’t go overboard, though – a little goes a long way.
- Crushed Peppermint Candies: For an extra burst of peppermint flavor and a festive appearance.

- Move the plunger up and down until thick and well blended.
- Spoon gently over the drink after pouring. Serve immediately (before it deflates!).

Tips for the Best Chocolate Peppermint Mocktail
Believe it or not, I actually have several tips for this recipe.
I know, right?! As easy as it is, you’d think there wouldn’t be that many.
Be sure to check them out, though:
- Chill out. I know I've already mentioned this, but it's best to chill everything before you begin. That way, you won't need the added chill time after blending.
- Crush the peppermints finely. Remember, you’re using them to coat the rim of a martini glass, so the pieces need to be super fine. For the best results, use a zip-top bag and a rolling pin.
- Select elegant glasses. It may be silly, but it’s true: mixed drinks just look better in fancy glasses. Martini glasses are perfect. If you don’t have any, use something else with a sophisticated look.
- Use premium ingredients. Fresh peppermint extract and quality chocolate sauce are key. The fresher and better those ingredients taste, the yummier your mocktail will be.
- Double – or triple – the recipe. This drink is perfect for parties because you can make it ahead of time. Simply multiply the ingredients by 2, 3, or more to make enough for a crowd.
- Add toppings. Jazz the drink up even more with some caramel whipped cream or a dusting of cocoa powder.
- Make it boozy. Blend in 2 shots of vanilla vodka or use 1 shot of peppermint schnapps instead of extract.
