Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to make the best turkey and cheese sliders. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the full list with measurements.

  • Slider Buns: The base of your sliders. Choose soft, fluffy buns, such as Hawaiian rolls.
  • Mayonnaise: Adds creamy moisture to each slider, ensuring they’re never dry.
  • Sliced Turkey Breast: Provides lean, savory goodness that pairs perfectly with cheese and mayo.
  • Swiss Cheese: Melty Swiss cheese brings a mild, nutty flavor that complements the turkey beautifully.
  • Sauce: Dijon mustard, honey, melted butter, poppy seeds, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture on the buns for an extra layer of flavor.

How to Make Turkey and Cheese Sliders

These yummy Hawaiian roll sliders are so easy anyone can do it!

1. PREP. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Slice the buns in half horizontally, and lay the bottom halves on a baking sheet.

2. ASSEMBLE. Smear a bit of mayonnaise on the bun bottoms, then pile on the turkey and cheese, followed by the bun tops.

3. MIX. Stir melted butter, mustard, honey, poppy seeds, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Brush this over the buns.

4. BAKE. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake another 10 minutes or until golden and the cheese melts.

5. SERVE. Let the sliders cool for 2-4 minutes before serving warm. Enjoy!

Recipe Variations

Switch up your turkey slider game with these fun and easy variations!

  • Switch to mozzarella or Provolone. If Swiss isn’t your thing, try mozzarella or Provolone cheese for a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth experience.
  • Supercharge your sliders. Elevate these to the next level by adding roast beef, ham, or even bacon.
  • Tomato layers. Slide some sliced tomatoes between the turkey and cheese for a juicy, fresh bite.
  • Parmesan sprinkle. After brushing with butter, sprinkle some Parmesan cheese over the rolls for a crispy, cheesy crust.
  • Fresh herb finish. Garnish your sliders with fresh parsley or chives for a pop of color and freshness.

How to Store & Reheat

Got leftovers? Here’s how to store and reheat them so you can enjoy them all over again.

To Store: Place leftover sliders in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.

To Freeze: Wrap cold sliders individually in plastic wrap or pop them into Ziplock bags. They’ll keep in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw them overnight in the fridge when ready to serve.

To Reheat: For that fresh-out-of-the-oven taste, reheat turkey and cheese sliders covered with foil in a 350°F oven for about 10-15 minutes.
