Ingredients

  • Creamy Peanut Butter: It’s the base, so get a good brand. But steer clear of natural PB as it’s too oily.
  • Cream Cheese: Tangy, smooth, and creamy, it balances the sweetness and adds body.
  • Brown Sugar: Sweet and rich with a hint of molasses, it complements the peanut butter perfectly.
  • Heavy Whipping Cream: Decadent, luscious, and oh-so-creamy.
  • Vanilla Extract: Rounds out the flavors and adds depth.

Tips For the Best Peanut Butter Dip

I’ve been drowning all my favorite fruits and snacks into this. I’m talking crisp apple slices, fresh strawberries, crunchy pretzels, and even brownie bites!

Everything is better dunked into this heavenly dessert dip.

Use these tips to ensure yours is spot on.

  • Peanut butter options. I like standard creamy peanut butter, such as Jif or Skippy. You can use crunchy for texture if you like. But as I said, avoid natural styles, which can separate and make the dip oily.
  • Soften the cream cheese. Let the cream cheese come to room temperature before mixing to ensure a smooth, lump-free dip.
  • Whip it good. Beat the peanut butter, cream cheese, and brown sugar until fluffy before gradually adding the heavy cream for the lightest texture.
  • Stream in the cream slowly. Do this while continuously beating to incorporate it evenly without deflating the mixture.
  • Chill before serving. You don’t have to, but 30 minutes in the fridge lets the flavors marry and the dip firm up slightly.
  • Variations. Mix in chocolate chips, cookie dough bites, Reese’s pieces, Dulce de Leche, Nutella, or even jam for a fun PB&J twist.
  • Dipping options. Serve with sliced apples, pears, bananas, strawberries, pretzels, vanilla wafers, graham crackers, or cookies. There are no wrong answers!

How to Store

You need this peanut butter dip in your life ASAP.

It’s great as a party app, after-school snack, or midnight treat. And it keeps in the fridge for a few days… if you can make it last that long!

To Store: Cover leftovers or transfer to an airtight container for up to 5 days in the fridge. Mix it well before serving.

Note: I don’t recommend freezing peanut butter dip, as the texture may become grainy and less creamy after thawing.

This creamy peanut butter dip balances sweet, salty, and nutty flavors perfectly. Serve it with cookies, fruit, and more for a fun no-bake party dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Add the peanut butter, cream cheese, and brown sugar to a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until well combined and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Scrape the bowl, then gradually stream in the heavy cream and vanilla with the mixer on low. Increase the speed to medium and beat for an additional 1-2 minutes until the dip is smooth, creamy, and lightened in texture.
  • Transfer the dip to a bowl and serve with sliced apples, pears, bananas, pretzels, graham crackers, or other dippers of choice. Alternatively, cover and store in the fridge until ready to eat.

Notes

  • For a chunkier texture, use crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy.
  • Garnish the dip with chopped peanuts, mini chocolate chips, or chopped peanut butter cups before serving.
  • Add a swirl of caramel for an ultra-indulgent treat.
