How to Make Frozen Biscuits in the Air Fryer

Homemade biscuits? Why bother? These frozen air fryer biscuits are just as scrumptious. Plus, they’re effortless and make way less mess.

All you have to do is follow these three simple steps:

1. Preheat the air fryer. Set it to 340 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Air fry the biscuits. Spritz the basket with cooking oil. Add the biscuits and cook for 8 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

3. Serve. Serve hot and enjoy!

How Long to Cook Frozen Biscuits in the Air Fryer

Frozen air fryer biscuits take about 12 minutes. That said, cooking times can vary.

Each air fryer model cooks a little differently. Like the appliance, frozen biscuits can also require more or less time depending on the brand.

So I recommend checking the biscuits early, at around 5 minutes.

Once you flip them, check them again a few minutes before the timer dings. I usually peek at them around the 10-minute mark.

That way, you can dial in the best cooking time according to your air fryer. So you can always ensure your biscuits cook perfectly!

Tips for Success

Here are a few tips to ensure your biscuits turn out the best!

  • Butter them up. Warm, buttery biscuits are the best! Brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter for a golden brown finish. You can also use olive oil for browning.
  • Give them space. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. You want to leave space between each biscuit so they rise and cook properly. Otherwise, they won’t cook evenly.
  • Avoid parchment paper. For the best results, place the biscuits directly on the basket. Parchment paper may prevent the bottom from browning and they may not cook properly.
  • Adjust the heat. Like the cooking time, you also may need to adjust the heat. If they brown before the center fully cooks, lower the temperature. Try 300 or 325 degrees Fahrenheit instead.
  • Give ’em a flavor boost. For a sweet treat, butter the biscuits and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. If you prefer savory, add a dash of garlic powder.
  • Some like it hot! These biscuits are best hot out of the air fryer. So serve them immediately when they’re nice and warm. For leftovers, just give them a quick reheat.
  • Make some breakfast sandwich magic. Turn your biscuits into an air fryer breakfast sandwich! Just air fry the biscuits first. Next, air fry scrambled eggs and sausage, then assemble.

How to Store & Reheat

Leftover biscuits are super easy to store. They don’t even require refrigeration!

Simply keep them on the counter at room temperature until you need a quick snack. They’re also great for a make-ahead breakfast or dinner side dish.

Just pop them back in the air fryer for a quick reheat and eat!

Here’s how to store and reheat these air fryer biscuits:

To Store: Place leftover biscuits in an air-tight container. Store them at room temperature for up to 2 days.

To Reheat: Reheat biscuits in the air fryer or oven at 350 degrees. Or reheat in the microwave until warm. Just note the microwave can make biscuits soggy.

It doesn’t get much easier than making frozen biscuits in the air fryer! In just 12 minutes, you’ll have soft, fluffy, golden brown biscuits.

Ingredients

  • 6 frozen biscuits

  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 340 degrees Fahrenheit (170°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  • Lightly spray the basket with olive oil. Add the biscuits, leaving 1 inch of space between each, and cook for 8 minutes.
  • Carefully flip the biscuits and cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden and cooked all the way through.
  • Serve immediately with butter or gravy and enjoy.

Notes

  • Brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter or spray with olive oil for a golden brown finish. Brush or respray them after flipping.
  • Add salt, brown sugar, or garlic powder to the butter for extra flavor.
  • All air fryers are different, and biscuit brands cook at different rates. So be sure to check the biscuits after 10 minutes.
  • Leave enough space between each biscuit for them to rise and cook properly. If you crowd the basket, they won’t cook evenly.
