Fall Gin Cocktails & Drink Recipes

What better way to celebrate the start of the holiday season than a crisp gin cocktail?

Whether you like it clean and fresh or dark and sweet, I know you’ll find more than one recipe here to love.

After all, these fall gin cocktails are brimming with autumnal colors and festive spices.

So why not test out your bartending skills and make your next holiday party one to remember?

15 Easy Autumn Cocktail Recipes

1. Apple Cider Cocktail

This fruity apple cider cocktail is the perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving. It has a fantastic apple-forward taste that’s sweet, tart, and oh-so-warm.

Deliciously smooth, these autumn gin cocktails go down a little too easily.

They make any chilly night warm and snuggly, and they’re pretty easy to make, too.

Just don’t forget the garnish! It’s not the same without the aroma of cinnamon.

Ingredients: gin, apple cider or apple juice, lime juice, honey simple syrup or maple syrup, thyme sprigs, apple slices & cinnamon sticks (for garnish)

2. Fall Gin & Tonic

Nothing hits the spot like a G&T! But why not take the classic gin and tonic to a whole other level with some fun fall-time additions?

Cinnamon and cardamom add so much warmth to this typically cool and refreshing drink.

That said, this version is still super fresh and absolutely delicious. And if you have the time, I can’t recommend the spiced fall gin enough!

Ingredients: London dry or spiced gin, apple cider, tonic water, ice, lemon wedge & apple slices, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves & star anise (for garnish)

3. Blackberry French 75

Feeling a little fancy? Whip up this enchanting French 75 cocktail.

It’s refreshing and citrusy, with sparkling gin flavors and plenty of deep, fruity goodness.

It features the usual gin, Champagne, and lemon juice. But there’s also blackberry simple syrup for color and flavor.

And while that purple hue may seem more suited to spring or summer, the intense blackberries are wonderfully potent.

Ingredients: water, sugar, fresh blackberries, gin, lemon juice, Champagne, fresh blackberries & lemon rind (for garnish)

4. Gin Apple Pie Cocktail

If you’re hoping for dessert in a glass, you can’t beat this fall gin apple pie cocktail.

It needs just three ingredients, including cinnamon simple syrup and spiced gin, and it’s ready in a flash.

Cinnamon simple syrup works wonders in this drink, adding so much depth to every sip. Plus, it balances the piney gin perfectly.

It really does taste like an apple pie – just without all the effort of baking one.

Ingredients: cinnamon simple syrup, gin, apple cider, cinnamon sugar & lemon wedges (for the rim)

5. Grapefruit & Thyme Gin Fizz

Pretty in pink, this grapefruit and thyme gin fizz will steal the show at every party this holiday season!

And though it looks super impressive, a gin fizz is actually pretty effortless to make at home.

The hardest part is making the thyme-infused simple syrup, and all that entails is simmering sugar, water, and thyme until syrupy.

Add fresh herbs and grapefruit wedges before serving, and they’re sure to turn heads at all your fall festivities!

Ingredients: grapefruit juice. gin, lime juice, thyme simple syrup, club soda, thyme sprig & grapefruit wedge (for garnish)

6. Fig & Thyme Gin Cocktail

If grapefruit is too tart for your tastes, maybe you’d like this fig, thyme, and gin cocktail instead?

This twist on a classic G&T is sweet, fruity, and has such a lovely herbal finish, thanks to the thyme.

One sip, and you’ll be hooked.

Ingredients: sugar, water, gin, thyme, figs, tonic water, ice

7. Vanilla Fig Gin Cocktail

Get cozy this fall with one of these vanilla, fig, and gin cocktails. They’re just what you need to kick back and relax at the end of a chilly autumn day.

This glorious concoction of sweet, fruity figs and vanilla extract is a dream come true.

To make these cocktails look extra special, add a little honey to the rim of the glass and dip it in brown sugar. Delish!

Ingredients: figs, lemon juice, vanilla extract, honey, gin, club soda, brown sugar & honey (for the rim)

8. Blackberry Cocktail

Here’s another gorgeous blackberry cocktail I know you’ll love! It’s elegant, fruity, and that deep dark color is picture-perfect.

This simple, sweet cocktail is made with blackberries, gin, and Prosecco, so it’s similar to the French 75.

Only without the lemon juice and using Prosecco over Champagne, this one is much sweeter.

In addition, you’ll need regular simple syrup and fresh berries muddled in the glass.

Ingredients: gin, simple syrup, blackberries, crushed ice, Prosecco, thyme sprig or juniper sprig (for garnish)

9. Blood Orange Elderflower Gin Cocktail

Blood orange is my favorite fall citrus because of its deep, dark orange hue.

And luckily, it tastes just as good as it looks!

St. Germain is floral and has a nice sweetness, contrasting the often sharp flavors of gin. In contrast, the blood orange is punchy and fresh.

Serve it in a highball glass with a splash of ginger ale (or ginger beer) for fizz, and sip away with good friends!

Ingredients: gin, St Germain, lime juice, ginger ale or ginger beer, blood orange juice, ice, blood orange slices (for garnish)

10. Spiced Pear Gin Cocktail

If you enjoy fruity drinks, you’ll adore this spiced pear and gin fall cocktail!

Pears are fruity, sweet, and buttery, and the mild flavor pairs beautifully with spices.

If you can’t find spiced pear liqueur, make your own with pears, cinnamon, star anise, cloves, vodka, and simple syrup.

Decorate this fabulously fresh drink with a pear slice and a thyme sprig for a hint of herbal fragrance. Easy peasy!

Ingredients: gin, pear juice, spice pear liqueur, lemon juice, cardamom bitters, pear slices & thyme sprig (for garnish)

11. Pumpkin Spiced Gin Cocktail

No list of fall drinks would be complete without pumpkin spice! And this pumpkin spice gin cocktail might just become your new go-to.

Mix quality gin with Pumpkin Reàl Pumpkin Puree Infused Syrup and orange Curaçao liqueur.

That blend ensures every sip is sweet, sour, and delightfully boozy.

Ingredients: gin, pumpkin puree infused syrup, orange Curaçao liqueur, lemon bitters, ice, juniper sprig (for garnish)

12. Creamy Earl Grey Cocktail

Tea lovers, this one’s for you!

Earl Grey tea is floral and lightly citrusy, so it makes total sense to add it to botanical gin!

In this unique cocktail, you’ll shake an Earl Grey simple syrup with gin, fresh lemon juice, and egg whites.

When that’s foamy, add the ice and give it another quick shake.

How easy is that?

Ingredients: Earl Grey simple syrup, gin, lemon juice, egg whites

13. Pomegranate Rosemary Gin Sparkler

Pomegranate is one of my favorite fall flavors. And this pomegranate cocktail is sweet, deeply fruity, and looks terrific in your Instagram pictures.

Believe it or not, pomegranate tastes extra special with the right kind of gin.

For example, Esmé gin has notes of pomegranate and orange, making it the ideal choice for this one!

Trust me, this pomegranate gin fizz if sure to please.

Ingredients: white sugar, water, rosemary, pomegranate juice, gin, soda water, pomegranate arils (for garnish)

14. Fall Gin Sangria

Made with my new favorite Empress Gin 1908, this fall sangria also features brandy, white wine, pomegranate juice, black tea, and cinnamon syrup.

So yeah, it’s nothing like your usual fruity punch!

Instead, it’s intense, boozy, and loaded with earthy and warm flavors.

And if you’re wondering, Empress Gin is made in Victoria, British Columbia. It’s got a stunning blue color and delicate flavor I know you’ll love.

Ingredients: Empress gin, brandy, dry white wine or sparkling wine, pomegranate juice, black tea, soda water, cinnamon syrup, cinnamon sticks, apple, pear & orange slices (for garnish)

15. The “Autumn Twilight” Grape & Rosemary Cocktail

If you want to serve cocktails that’ll turn heads at your next party, this is it!

An Autumn Twilight is a grape and rosemary cocktail with the most stunning scarlet red color.

If you want them more rosemary-forward, let the minced rosemary steep in the simple syrup for an hour before mixing it into your cocktail.

The herbal flavor is to die for.

Ingredients: rosemary simple syrup, gin, lime juice, concord grapes, seltzer water
