20 Easy Crescent Roll Breakfast Recipes

Crescent rolls taste phenomenal no matter what you make with them, and these crescent roll breakfast recipes are 100% proof of that.

It doesn’t matter if you prefer to enjoy sweet foods for breakfast or something more savory, you can still incorporate crescent rolls into the meal.

They’re just so versatile.

There’s such a wide variety of options. You can buy the original crescent rolls or purchase one of the many varieties – buttery, Hawaiian sweet, flaky, and more.

So if you’re looking for the perfect buttery bread to go with your sausage squares or need a sweeter base to add a little extra oomph to your crescent cinnamon rolls, that’s okay!

Whatever you’re craving, crescent rolls can help you make it. Now let’s look at a few of my favorite crescent roll breakfast recipes

1. Crescent Bacon Breakfast Ring

If you’ve never made a crescent ring before, you’ve been missing out.

These are ideal for any occasion, from a typical breakfast with the family to a Christmas work party.

You’ll stuff this particular ring with eggs, bell peppers, bacon, cheese, and salt and pepper.

It’s almost like having a complete breakfast platter crammed into one delicious ring.

2. Egg and Vegetable Crescent Roll Breakfast Ring

Here’s another great crescent ring option. This one is for the vegetarians in your life.

Leave out the eggs and use vegan cheese to make it vegan-friendly.

This ring is full of onions, peppers, and plenty of herbs and spices. And don’t let the ring scare you. It’s incredibly easy to make.

3.  Crescent Roll Breakfast Casserole

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love a hearty, tasty breakfast casserole.

The problem is that they sometimes take a lot of work to make. That’s not the case with this one.

Just unroll your crescent roll dough and lay it flat in a casserole dish. Then top it with sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese. (I add green onions, as well.)

Then, you’ll simply bake the casserole until the eggs are done and a little bubbly around the edges. It’s a wonderfully cheesy and filling start to your day.

4. Sausage, Egg, Cheese Crescent Roll-Ups

If you’re someone who loves to snack on pigs-in-a-blanket, then you’ll go crazy for these sausage, egg, and cheese crescent roll-ups.

The crescent roll wrap is flaky, buttery, and delightfully soft.

The sausage is juicy and well-seasoned, and the eggs and cheese add a whole other depth of breakfast flavor.

The chives bring in a touch of herby earthiness, and if you enjoy a little heat with your breakfast, use pepper jack cheese and spicy breakfast sausage.

5. Croissant Omelette Breakfast Casserole

This recipe is for those who love omelets. This breakfast casserole gives you all the hearty yumminess of an omelet but with a flaky, golden-brown crescent roll crust.

You can adjust the recipe as you please to make it more like your favorite omelet. T

o make it as-is, you’ll need crescent rolls, ham, sausage, eggs, milk, pepper, parsley, and cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.

I also like to add onions, mushrooms, and peppers to mine.

6. Breakfast Egg Cups

Breakfast egg cups are basically savory bacon, egg, and cheese muffins made with crescent roll dough instead of batter.

They’re absolutely scrumptious, and they’re easy to make.

You can whip up a dozen in less than 30 minutes, making them an excellent option for busy, on-the-go mornings.

7. Crescent Roll Cream Cheese Danish

If I’d known years ago how easy it was to make cream cheese Danish out of crescent rolls, I would’ve made them a lot more often.

All it takes is about 45 minutes and seven simple ingredients: crescent rolls, cream cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, white sugar, and milk and powdered sugar for the glaze.

Best of all, they taste as good (or better) as any cream cheese Danish you’ve ever bought at your local bakery.

8. Sausage Crescent Squares

Do you love sausage balls?

If so, you’ll love these. They don’t look like sausage balls.

Instead, they’re thick, meaty squares made with a perfect crescent roll topping and a filling of cream cheese and sausage.

But they taste like sausage balls, which is to say they’re fantastic.

9. Crescent Roll Breakfast Pizza

This dish is everything you love about breakfast on a pizza! You’ll make the crust from – you guessed it – crescent rolls.

Then, you’ll top it with thick pepper gravy, light, fluffy eggs, succulent sausage, gooey cheese, and herby green onions.

It’s the ideal way to start the morning for any hardcore breakfast lover.

10. Crescent Cinnamon Rolls

If it smells like a cinnamon roll, tastes like a cinnamon roll, and makes your mouth water like a cinnamon roll, then it must be a cinnamon roll, right?!

Well, kinda. It’s a cinnamon crescent roll, and while it looks a bit different, it tastes just like the real thing. It is, however, softer and flakier.

11. Mini-Quiche With Crescent Rolls

If you love mini quiche but don’t want to go through all the work of making them, use crescent rolls for the dough.

It cuts down on your time immensely so that you can make half a dozen servings in only 25 minutes. It also cuts way down on the ingredients.

Aside from the rolls, all you’ll need is milk, eggs, shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

12. Breakfast Egg Muffins

These breakfast egg muffins are soft, yummy, and incredibly cheesy.

You’ll also stuff them with eggs and bacon, making them like a fluffier version of a Hardee’s bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. YUM!

13. Candy Cane Crescent Roll Breakfast Pastry

Whether you’re just wanting to have a little fun at breakfast or looking for something special for the holiday season, this candy cane crescent roll pastry has you covered.

It’s really just a cherry cream cheese Danish (and that alone should tell you how tasty it is!), but you’ll shape the crescent rolls so that it looks like a candy cane.

And don’t worry; if you don’t have much artistic talent, you’ll be fine. Making this candy cane is just as simple as making the crescent rings.

14. Raspberry Cream Cheese Crescent Ring

For those of you who prefer raspberries to cherries, here’s a raspberry cream cheese Danish-like breakfast treat for you.

This one uses the standard ring instead of the candy cane shape, but you could easily make the candy cane if you prefer.

Either way, the filling is red, the glaze is white, and the pastry is unbelievably delicious.

15. Crescent Roll Breakfast Casserole With Turkey Sausage

Here’s another phenomenal breakfast casserole for those who need something incredibly filling and packed with protein to get them up and going in the mornings.

With a buttery crescent roll crust, two types of flavorful, gooey cheese, perfectly browned turkey sausage, and eight eggs, this casserole should be enough to get the whole household going!

Plus, it’s super tasty, and not only is it full of protein, but it’s also low in sugar and carbs.

16. Cream Cheese, Sausage, and Egg Breakfast Braid

Although I don’t think these breakfast braids are as pretty as the rings, most people find them very impressive.

I always get tons of compliments on them when I make them.

Like many of the recipes on this list, the braid combines a crescent roll crust with sausage, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, eggs, salt, and pepper.

It contains all your breakfast staples, and it’s kind of like one long sausage roll with eggs. If you like breakfast, you’ll like this braid.

17. Crescent Breakfast Tart

This tart is a bit like a flatbread breakfast pizza. Every bite is perfect, but the white cheddar and chives are what really set it off.

The bacon and eggs don’t hurt either, of course.

18. Crescent Roll Fruit Tart

The breakfast tart above is an excellent choice if you prefer a more savory breakfast option.

However, if I’m having a tart for breakfast, I want it covered in fruit.

That’s what you get with this one. You’ll start with a buttery crescent roll base. I actually buy the butter-flavored crescent rolls for this tart.

Then you’ll add a light, creamy filling of Cool Whip, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla.

Finally, top the whole thing off with your favorite fruits and berries and enjoy!

19. Breakfast Pinwheels

Despite looking nothing like an omelet, breakfast pinwheels taste remarkably similar to one.

They’re small, cute breakfast mouthfuls that are perfect for busy mornings.

Stuffed with eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, peppers, and onions, they taste like nothing so much as bite-sized omelets with crescent rolls added in.

Best of all, if you’re severely pressed for time in the mornings, you can prepare this the night before, meaning you’ll only need 15 minutes to heat them the next day.

20. Bacon Quiche Crescent Cups

These bacon quiche crescent cups taste very much like the breakfast pinwheels above.

That’s probably because they share several of the same ingredients: crescent rolls, bacon, eggs, and cheddar cheese.

These have a richer, earthier flavor, though, thanks primarily to the addition of heavy cream, smooth cream cheese, and garden-fresh chives.

They, too, are quick and easy to make, requiring only 35 minutes total time to make eight flavorful cups.
