Brunch Cocktails & Drink Recipes

For some people, brunch is all about pancakes, breakfast pastries, and bacon.

But I’m there strictly for the tasty brunch cocktails.

I like them sweet, zippy, bubbly, or with a twist. And the best part is, pretty much any drink is suitable for brunch!

So grab your cutest glasses, invite some friends over, and let’s get mixing!

Mint Grapefruit Mimosa - Easy Brunch Cocktails

1. Mint Grapefruit Mimosas

Mint grapefruit mimosas are wonderfully complex.

They have plenty of sweetness from the sparkling wine and honey, but they’re also incredibly refreshing.

You’ll love the bubbles and the hit of bitterness from the grapefruit juice. And that stunning pink hue doesn’t hurt, either.

So whip up a big batch and serve it in flutes with fresh grapefruit slices. Delish!

Ingredients: honey, water, mint leaves, pink grapefruit or grapefruit juice, Prosecco or sparkling wine, sprig of mint (for garnish)

2. Kir Royale

If you’re looking for something you can whip up in five minutes or less, try this recipe for Kir Royale.

All you’ll need is some Champagne and French berry liqueur (Chambord or crème de cassis).

It’s light, bubbly, and incredibly fruity. Feel free to drop in a raspberry for a prettier aesthetic – your Instagram feed will thank you!

Ingredients: Chambord or crème de cassis, Champagne, fresh raspberries (for garnish)

3. Sangria Lemonade

Chances are, you’ve had a glass or two of fruity sangria in your time. And the same goes for zesty lemonade during the summer.

But have you ever thought of putting the two together? Seriously, sangria and lemonade are the dynamic duo you never knew you needed!

It’s boozy, fruity, fizzy, and fantastic. And with all that fruit in the mix, it’s ideal for breakfast or brunch!

Ingredients: Chardonnay or other white wine, light rum, raspberries, orange slices, apple slices

Frozen Mudslide with Whipped Cream - Easy Brunch Cocktails

4. Frozen Mudslide

Want a frosty dessert after all that incredible food? How about this boozy mudslide?

This drink may look like something a 6-year-old would order, but it packs one heck of a vodka punch.

The coffee and Irish creme flavors are so well blended, and it’s just sweet enough with the ice cream in the mix.

Though you could use whipped cream or vanilla vodka for even more creamy sweetness!

Ingredients: vanilla ice cream, vodka, Baileys, Kahlua, ice cubes, chocolate syrup, whipped cream & chocolate sprinkles (for garnish)

5. Pineapple Screwdriver

Here’s a fun twist on a super simple yet super popular orange juice cocktail.

The OG Screwdriver features OJ and vodka. Add some ice, and you’re ready to sip.

But this version has pineapple juice in the mix too. And that hit of tropical sweetness really does make all the difference!

Ingredients: vodka, orange juice, pineapple juice, ice cubes

6. Blackberry Champagne Mule

This drink is beloved by all.

It’s charming and fruity on one hand and full of strong vodka and ginger beer flavor on the other.

So basically, it’s the best of both worlds.

Plus, it takes only five minutes to make (and even less time to consume).

Ingredients: blackberries, mint leaves, lime juice, vodka, ginger beer, Champagne, mint sprig (for garnish)

Strawberry Margarita - Easy Brunch Cocktails

7. Strawberry Margarita

I don’t know about you, but I always have a bag of frozen strawberries tucked away in the freezer.

And it may or may not be there just for this drink! I mean, margaritas are the ultimate brunch drink – particularly in the summer.

They’re sweet and salty, and who can turn down that cold slushiness on a hot summer day?

Plus, between the tequila and the Triple Sec, it’s hard not to get tipsy off just one or two tall glasses.

Ingredients: tequila, Triple Sec, frozen strawberries, frozen limeade concentrate, sugar, salt & lime slices (for garnish)

8. Aperol Spritz

Unless you’ve been living on another planet, I know you’ve seen the Aperol Spritz in the last couple of years.

It shot to stardom seemingly overnight – and for good reason!

It’s bittersweet, bubbly, and loaded with vibrant flavors. Serve it with ice, burnt orange slices, and edible flowers to make your Instagram feed pop.

If you’re the kind of person who prefers things less sweet for breakfast, this is a must-make!

Ingredients: Aperol, Champagne or Prosecco, soda water, ice, orange slice & edible flowers (for garnish)

9. Sweet Tea Sangria

This drink combines two true southern staples – sweet tea and a bottle of wine.

Add some fresh fruit, and this might be the best summer brunch cocktail recipe on the list!

If you like your cocktails exceptionally sweet, this one is the one for you.

Ingredients: sweet tea, white wine, raspberries, sliced peaches, fresh mint (for garnish)

10. Frozen Orange Prosecco

If you like the Screwdriver cocktail but wish it had more bubbles, I’ve got just the thing!

It’s thick, tangy, and ice cold.

Serve it with pancakes, bacon, and eggs to make a breakfast or brunch of champions!

Ingredients: Prosecco, orange juice, ice cubes, sugar, orange zest, mint sprig (for garnish)

11. Bellini

Where the classic mimosa is full of bubbly orange juice, this lovely Bellini is all about the peaches!

It’s an extra sweet way to start the day, and that color is simply stunning, don’t you think?

Add some fresh peach slices to the glass, and be sure to snap a picture or two for Instagram!

Everyone will love how this pretty peach Bellini looks in a Champagne flute.

Ingredients: peach puree, Prosecco or sparkling wine, peach slice (for garnish)

12. The Rosemary Greyhound

If gin and grapefruit are your jam, you’ve probably had a classic Greyhound cocktail before.

And in truth, this version isn’t too much of a twist.

Just add some rosemary simple syrup for a herbaceous finish that really complements the sour citrus and botanical gin.

Ingredients: gin or grapefruit vodka, grapefruit juice, lime juice, rosemary simple syrup, ice cubes, rosemary (for garnish)

13. Bloody Mary

Love ’em or hate ’em, the Bloody Mary is one of the most iconic breakfast and brunch drinks around.

And of all the Bloody Mary recipes I’ve tried, this one is probably the best.

It’s zippy, tangy, and super savory.

If you don’t have any hot sauce, try horseradish instead. It’s got a similar burn and will give this a nice spicy aroma.

Ingredients: tomato juice, vodka, cucumber, distilled vinegar, celery seeds, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce or horseradish, black pepper, garlic, salt, lemon or lime wedges, ice, celery stalks & dill pickle spears (for garnish)

Irish Coffee

14. Irish Coffee

Why have plain old coffee for brunch when you can have warm Irish coffee?

It’ll give you a caffeine boost, a boozy buzz, and a sugar high (from the whipped cream) all at the same time!

Plus, it tastes phenomenal. It’s sweet, syrupy, and borderline decadent.

Ingredients: Irish Creme, Irish whiskey, brewed coffee or espresso, whipped cream & nutmeg (for garnish)

15. Sea Breeze Cocktail

One look at this pretty pink drink, and you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s full of sugar and saccharine sweet.

But one sip and you’ll be blown away by how sour it is!

While there is a subtle sweetness to the Sea Breeze cocktail, it’s more tart and sour than anything else.

So if you like sour cocktails, it’s a must-make.

Ingredients: vodka, cranberry juice, grapefruit juice, ice cubes, lime wedge (for garnish)

16. Tequila Sunrise Recipe

The next time you need a brunch cocktail that stands out, you have to make the classic Tequila Sunrise.

This one has a few variations (one of my faves includes strawberries!), but the OG recipe is tried and true.

It’s bright, flavorful, and impossible to resist.

Ingredients: reposado tequila, orange juice, Grenadine, ice cubes, orange twist & maraschino cherries (for garnish)

17. French 75

For a bittersweet, sparkly drink that’ll make you happy, try the French 75.

It mixes gin and Champagne with some simple syrup and lemon juice for flavor.

So yeah, it’s pretty strong!

Ingredients: gin, Champagne, lemon juice, simple syrup

18. Iced Caffè Corretto

Usually served warm, the Caffè Corretto is an Italian fave! It’s sweet, deeply flavorful, and just boozy enough to wake you up.

But if you prefer things iced, you might like this version better.

Loaded with ice cubes, brandy, and espresso, it’s a very grown-up version of your usual Starbucks order.

Ingredients: espresso, brandy or grappa, simple syrup, orange zest, cream, ice cubes.

19. Champagne Pomegranate Cocktail

As much as I enjoy pomegranates, they’re a lot of work for such a small reward.

But this drink recipe has all that intensely fruity flavor with hardly any effort on your end.

The berrylicious sweetness of the pomegranate syrup is the perfect complement to the bitterness of the orange liqueur.

Top it off with Champagne for a gorgeous bubbly effect and sip slowly – it’ll creep up on you!

Ingredients: pomegranate juice, orange liqueur, Champagne or sparkling wine, pomegranate arils & orange peel (for garnish)

20. Champagne Punch

Punch is a terrific drink for when you have more than a few friends over.

Just make a nice big batch and let them serve themselves!

And this Champagne punch is just what your next brunch party needs. It’s lively, bubbly, and perfectly sweet.

Want a bigger punch of booze? Add a splash of vodka!

Ingredients: orange juice, pineapple juice, Champagne, raspberries & rosemary (for garnish)

21. Honeydew Margarita

Honeydew margaritas are for those of us who like to experience the full range of tastes on our tongues.

While there’s not exactly any umami flavor, they manage to squeeze sweet, sour, bitter, and salty into a single glass.

There’s a whole lot of spicy in there, as well.

Best of all, there’s plenty of tequila in every sip, and who doesn’t love tequila?

Ingredients: honeydew melon, tequila, lime juice, agave or simple syrup, lime wedge, sea salt & ancho chili powder or Tajin (for garnish)

22. Mixed Berry Rosemary Gin Refresher

Believe it or not, when you mix blueberries and blackberries, you’ll get a gorgeous drink with an almost watermelon-red color.

So when my main goal for cocktails is to make them look spectacular, this is one of my go-to’s.

And luckily, it also tastes incredible. It’s fruity and sweet, with just a bit of tartness.

Ingredients: blueberries, blackberries, rosemary, maple syrup, ice cubes, lemon juice, gin, sparkling water, blueberries, blackberries & lemon slice (for garnish)

23. Iced Drunken Mocha

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if Starbucks could spike your morning mocha with a bit of Kahlua?

Well, they tried serving alcohol once, but it never really became popular.

Luckily, you don’t need Starbucks to make a delicious, chocolate-heavy mocha. And you certainly won’t need Starbucks to pump it full of Kahlua.

Ingredients: whole milk, chocolate syrup. espresso, Kahlua, whipped cream & cocoa powder (for garnish)

24. Earl Grey Tea Cocktail

As much as I love the smell of coffee, I’m a tea gal at heart.

Combine some Earl Grey with gin, lavender, honey simple syrup, and a touch of lemon juice, and that’s a drink I won’t want to put down.

To me, this tall glass of lightly lavender-scented caffeine is better than a sugary, fruity cocktail any day of the week.

(And I love sugary, fruity cocktails, so you know this is good.)

Ingredients: cold Earl Grey tea, gin, honey simple syrup, lemon juice. lavender (for garnish)

25. Honeycrisp Apple Cocktail

If you love apples, this Honeycrisp apple cocktail will be your new favorite fall drink.

Imagine injecting an apple with vodka, then sprinkling it with cinnamon and ground ginger. That’s how this drink tastes.

So the next time the weather gets cool, pull on a sweater, light a bonfire, and sip on this gorgeous drink.

Ingredients: Honeycrisp apple juice, Honeycrisp syrup, vodka, ginger beer or ginger ale, apple slices & cinnamon (for garnish)

26. Mixed Citrus Daiquiri

If there’s a drink that captures “sitting on the beach while the waves roll in,” the mixed citrus daiquiri is it.

After the rum and brown sugar, the rest of the ingredients don’t even matter because those two are about as summer beach vacation as you can get.

Still, add the grapefruit, kumquat, and lime. They’ll give it a unique, citrusy taste that’ll make it even better.

Ingredients: lime juice, brown sugar, white grapefruit juice, kumquat juice, white rum, ice cubes

27. Cucumber Melon Gin Spritzer

These drinks take a bit longer to make than some others on the list. But if you like cocktails that look as good as they taste, you’ll love this one.

It has a lovely peachy-orange color, and the ice and the cucumber garnishes look lovely against it.

It also has a beautiful fresh taste that’s not sweet but not bitter.

Ingredients: melon simple syrup, gin, seltzer water or club soda, ice cubes, melon balls, cucumber slices & mint leaves (for garnish)

28. Blueberry Mojitos

I’ve loved mojitos since the first sip. And somehow, they just keep getting yummier!

And this blueberry version is no exception.

All I can say is turn off the lights, lock the door, and head on home because this drink shuts everything down.

It’s sweet and tart but retains the delightful fresh mintiness that makes mojitos great.

Ingredients: lime juice, mint leaves, fresh blueberries, mint simple syrup, white rum, club soda, ice cubes, mint sprig & lime slices (for garnish)

29. Cosmopolitan

Whether you’re having a Sex In the City marathon with your girls or sitting down to brunch with your mom, the Cosmo is a classic.

And everyone should know how to make it!

Luckily, it’s super easy. With six simple ingredients, you can have it ready in 5 minutes or less.

Ingredients: vodka, cranberry juice, Cointreau, lemon juice, simple syrup. lime wedge (for garnish)

30. Cucumber Mint Gimlet

The cucumber mint gimlet is a light, crisp, invigorating drink that’s easy to make and even easier to enjoy.

The gin goes down nice and smooth, and the cucumbers and mint leave your mouth feeling clean and minty fresh.

This just might become your new favorite cocktail, particularly if you’re already a fan of cucumber water.

Ingredients: cucumber, mint leaves, simple syrup, lime juice, gin ice cubes
