How Long is Leftover Pulled Pork Good For?
Here’s what I love about pulled pork — as long as you store it properly, it can last for as long as 2 to 3 months. All the more reason to make it in bulk!
Can You Freeze Leftover Pulled Pork?
Yes. In fact, it’s the best way to store leftover pulled pork. Here’s how you do it:
Transfer the leftovers with some of its juices in air-tight containers or freezer-safe bags. Store them in individual servings so that they’re easier to defrost when needed.
Leave out an inch of headspace to give way for expansion. Label the containers accordingly.
When using freezer-safe bags, squeeze out as much excess air as you can before you seal them. Freeze for up to 2 to 3 months.
When you’re ready to use them, transfer the pulled pork into the fridge overnight.
Reheat it in the oven or in a skillet over low heat. Be sure to include the juices to prevent the meat from drying out.
