How to Make Frozen Yogurt Bark

I can’t overstate how easy this is to make.

Simply mix the ingredients, spread them out on a baking sheet, add your toppings, and freeze.

In just a few hours, you’ll have a tasty and nutritious snack ready to enjoy.

Here are the steps:

1. PREP. Line a baking dish or rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. I used a 9×13 dish because I prefer it thicker, but you can use any tray you have on hand.

2. MIX. Combine the Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.

3. SPREAD. Pour the yogurt mixture onto the baking sheet and spread it evenly. You don’t have to fill the tray but try to make it at least 1/4-inch thick.

4. TOP. Scatter the toppings evenly over the yogurt and press it gently so it sticks.

5. FREEZE. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 3 hours. For best results, freeze overnight.

6. SERVE. Once frozen, remove the baking sheet from the freezer and break the bark into pieces. Enjoy!

Tips For the Best Frozen Yogurt Bark

The hardest part of this whole recipe is waiting for it to freeze. But trust me, it’s worth it.

This stuff is perfect for a hot summer day or really any time you’re craving something cool, fruity, and satisfying.

Check out these tips and variations, then let’s get to it.

  • Chop the fruit. No matter what fruits you choose, be sure to chop them into small-ish pieces. This will make the bark look better and it’s easier to cut that way.
  • Add a thick layer of yogurt. I already said it, but aim for about 1/4-inch thick. The bark is more likely to break or melt if it’s too thin.
  • Freeze overnight. If you have the time, this will give you the best results.
  • Sharp knife. Use a sharp knife to cut the bark into clean pieces. You can also break it apart with your hands for a more rustic look.
  • Serve immediately. Frozen yogurt bark melts quickly, so serve it right out of the freezer.
  • Add texture. Granola is great, but you could go with any kind of chopped nuts, cereal, other chocolate chips, seeds, dried fruits, or even freeze-dried fruits.
  • Fruit toppings. Try other berries, mangoes, kiwis, pineapples, and more. Just be sure it’s not something that will brown, like bananas or apples.
  • Mix-ins. Try swirling peanut butter or Nutella into the yogurt. Other options include, Biscoff, melted chocolate, or preserves.

How to Store

I think this is going to be my new go-to snack to keep in the freezer.

To Store: Break the frozen bark into pieces and place them in an airtight container or freezer bag, separating layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
