But empty carbs and sugar can quickly lead to a crash and burn scenario.

Energy smoothies, on the other hand, are full of whole foods that fuel your body right.

These nutrients are precisely what you’ll need to nourish your body and energize yourself for the day.

Plus, it doesn’t hurt that they taste amazing!

With a trusty blender, you can whip up a tasty energy smoothie in minutes and be ready to tackle the day.

Protein-Packed Energy Smoothies

1. Kale Smoothie

Just by looking at this glowing smoothie, you can tell it’s full of nutrition! Kale is a powerful superfood that makes a mean green smoothie.

Blend it with some mangoes and bananas to make it sweeter and less earthy. A green apple is a nice addition to give it a little bit of tang.

You can blend this with water to reduce your sugar intake. If you want to make it more creamy, nut milk like cashew milk is a fabulous choice.

This smoothie is so thick you can eat it with a spoon. However, if you want to slurp it up through a straw, thin it out with more water.

2. Mixed Berries Smoothie

You can never go wrong with a smoothie chock-full of berries.

Berries and smoothies go hand in hand. There are so many variations, but this one is impeccable for an energy boost.

You’ll blend a medley of frozen berries with bananas, apple juice, Greek yogurt, and honey.

The banana and Greek yogurt give it a thick, creamy body along with a dose of potassium and protein.

If apple juice is too sweet, I think coconut milk will make this smoothie extra rich and tasty.

3. Choco P&B Banana Smoothie

With this recipe, you can give in to your chocolate craving while getting a boost of energy.

Creamy peanut butter and Greek yogurt pack this smoothie with protein while bananas provide some much-needed nutrients.

Add a dash of cocoa powder, and you’ll have a decadent treat!

Chia seeds are another ingredient you can toss into the mix. These seeds are full of fiber and have a reputation for providing a wealth of energy.

4. Mango Smoothie

I love sipping on mango smoothies during the summer. One sip of this tropical bliss transcends me to paradise, even when I can’t leave home.

You can use fresh mangoes for this recipe, but you’ll want to freeze them first. Otherwise, it turns out closer to room temperature rather than super cold.

You can also add in a frozen banana for a thicker and sweeter consistency.

However, bananas can sometimes be overpowering in smoothies. So keep that in mind if you want an unaltered creamy mango flavor.

5. Green Tea Smoothie

There are so many decant matcha recipes, it can be hard to choose. However, this smoothie is a lifesaver when I need an afternoon pick me up.

Matcha is a nice caffeine boost that doesn’t come with the jitters like coffee. It’s also full of antioxidants.

You can have this four-ingredient recipe ready in just a few minutes, which is great if you need to be up and out the door.

The one ingredient, other than matcha, I recommend not skipping is the almond milk.

If you’ve ever tried matcha mixed in water, you get it. You’ll need to infuse matcha in something creamy when you’re drinking it.

Otherwise, it can be very overpowering.

6. Strawberry Smoothie

You might feel tempted to slurp this one down fast, but be careful of the brain freeze. This smoothie is the epitome of strawberries in smoothie form.

You only need three ingredients which are strawberries, milk, and strawberry jam.

I really like how the jam makes it a little extra sweet and enhances the strawberry flavor.

This smoothie is a great strawberry dessert alternative when you want something sweet but don’t want to put in a ton of effort.

7. Orange Smoothie

This orange smoothie makes me feel like a kid again.

It’s a copycat Orange Julius recipe that brings me back to my childhood days of trips to the mall.

While malls may be becoming a thing of the past, the tantalizing flavors of Orange Julius live on with this recipe.

For a taste of nostalgia, you’ll blend oranges, milk, honey, and vanilla. Toss in as many ice cubes as you like to reach your consistency of choice.

Then grab a straw and enjoy!

8. Green Smoothie

Green smoothies are the ultimate energy boost. They’re ripe with nutrients and healthy ingredients to replenish and invigorate your body.

What I like about this recipe is it lets you mix and match. All you need is a green, liquid, and fruit component.

This one uses a delicious blend of mango, banana, and pineapple. It also uses spinach and water to cover all the bases.

I think it’s phenomenal! However, you can use whatever you have on hand.

Berries, kale, chard, peaches, milk, nut milk, or anything else you like all work well.

9. Avocado Smoothie

Looking for a no banana smoothie recipe? I have just the thing!

This avocado smoothie is simply divine. Avocados make smoothies very creamy, and they’re full of nutrients like potassium, fiber, and vitamin C.

I love avocados, and this recipe is a great way to use up some that are about to be overripe.

This smoothie does call for a sweetener like Stevia or maple syrup. However, you won’t necessarily need it.

10. Breakfast Energy Smoothie

This smoothie is a breakfast powerhouse meal in a glass! It’s full of berries and vanilla yogurt which are the perfect match.

To make it more substantial, some chia seeds and granola are the way to go.

I like how orange juice makes it zippy with a healthy dose of vitamin C.

There’s also something about a dash of vanilla extract that makes it more luxurious and indulgent.
