Ingredients
- White Chocolate Chips: The creamy, smooth-melting base for the fudge. It’s rich, sweet, and velvety smooth.
- Sweetened Condensed Milk: For an extra-silky consistency. It also makes it set perfectly.
- Unsalted Butter: For a wealth of richness and an enhanced mouthfeel. It gives the fudge that perfect “fudgy” texture.
- Vanilla Extract: A depth-providing flavor enhancer. It complements the white chocolate beautifully.
- Food Coloring: You need yellow and orange to give the fudge its signature candy corn coloring. Pick up whatever brand you like best.
- Candy Corn: The crowning glory. Add it for a pretty appearance and a taste of authentic candy corn flavor on top.

How to Make Candy Corn Fudge
This easy, no-bake recipe is simple enough for anyone to make. It’s a great one to get the kids in on.
1. Prepare the pan. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Be sure to leave an overhang on the sides for easy lifting.
2. Melt. Pour the white chocolate chips, condensed milk, and butter into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each. Once smooth, stir in the vanilla.
3. Divide. Pour the mixture evenly into three separate bowls.
4. Dye. Don’t change the color of the first bowl. Add yellow to the second and orange to the third. Stir, adding more food coloring as needed until you reach your desired shades.
5. Layer. Pour the yellow mixture into the pan. Spread evenly and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Next, pour the orange mixture on top. Spread evenly and refrigerate for another 15 minutes. Last, add the white mixture and press the candy corn pieces onto its surface. Chill for at least 2 hours.
6. Cut and serve. Use the “handles” to remove the fudge from the pan. Cut into squares or triangles for a more candy corn-like appearance. Enjoy!

Tips for the Best Candy Corn Fudge
Keep these tips in mind when preparing your fudge:
- Splurge on the chocolate chips. A gourmet brand like Ghirardelli is best. But as long as you enjoy the flavor, any brand will suffice.
- Go for the gel. Liquid food coloring isn’t as vibrant as gel food coloring. That typically means you have to use more to reach the same desired color. Using more liquid food coloring, in turn, can affect the fudge’s texture.
- Chill after each layer. This “tip” is actually in the recipe steps. However, it’s important enough to warrant repeating. Each layer needs at least 15 minutes in the fridge before adding the next. If you have time, 30 minutes per layer is even better.
- Keep your knife clean. A sharp knife is your best friend when cutting this fudge. Wiping it between cuts to keep it clean will also work wonders. Squares are traditional, but you can use other shapes to make it more Halloween-y.
- Want authentic candy corn flavor? Add a tablespoon of honey to the yellow and orange layers. Then, your fudge will actually taste like candy corn.
- Go wild with toppings. Candy corn isn’t the only thing that can go on top! You can also use yellow and orange sprinkles or another favorite topping.
- Switch it up for different seasons. Simply change the color of the food coloring. Red, white, and blue for Independence Day. Red and green for Christmas. Light and dark green for St. Patrick’s Day. Etc.
How to Store
When stored properly, fudge can last for quite some time. Here’s how.
To Store: Use an air-tight container to hold the fudge. Be sure to add wax paper between each layer to prevent sticking. Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
To Freeze: Wrap individual pieces of fudge tightly in plastic wrap. Then, store them in a freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.

I love fudge, but if I’m going to eat those calories, I want chocolate! I never cared for candy corn as much as I did something chocolate!
I just had to respond because my mom is the exact same way, Vicki!
Your comment actually made me laugh out loud because I made this fudge for our family “girl’s night.” And Mom actually enjoyed it. But when I teased her saying something along the lines of, “Seeee!!! I told you you’d like it if you just tried it!” She, too, said, “Mmhmm. Would have been better if it was chocolate and peanut butter, though.”
Haha.
I, for one, quite enjoyed the candy corn fudge. :-p
