After all, who doesn’t love shrimp tempura?

With its bright pink color and slightly sweet taste, shrimp is an excellent ingredient to add to everything from stir-fries to noodles.

Plus, it cooks lightning fast, so you can make a flavorful shrimp dinner even on a busy weeknight.

Trust me, these fantastic Asian shrimp recipes will knock your socks off.

1. Shrimp Sinigang (Sinigang na Hipon)

This authentic Filipino recipe may look restaurant-worthy, but it’s super easy to whip up at home.

The key to getting the right blend of sweet and sour is in the tamarind paste. If you’ve never cooked with it before, now’s the time to try!

You can get it online or find it in your local Asian supermarket. I’ve even seen it in larger grocery stores with wide international sections.

2. Easy Thai Shrimp Soup

Unlike many Western soups, Thai soup recipes are loaded with fresh ingredients and lots of yummy spices.

But that doesn’t mean they have to be complicated. For example, you’ll make something quite similar to a Thai curry sauce in this dish, only it’s not as thick.

That means you’ll get notes of coconut, curry, fresh lime, and a hint of bright ginger. Yum!

3. Chinese Shrimp Stir-Fry Recipe

Stir-fries are known to be quick and easy. So adding something as fast-cooking as shrimp can only make them easier, right?

After a few minutes of prep, this needs less than 5 minutes in a hot wok. Just remember that you’ll need to turn the heat down before adding the aromatics.

Serve this with any of these yummy Asian side dishes for a fun and fast feast.

4. Easy Hoisin Shrimp

This dish may not have the signature pink hue of juicy shrimp, but you’ll have to admit it still looks wonderfully appetizing.

That dark hoisin sauce screams “flavor,” and after one bite, I know you’ll be hooked.

If you don’t have time to make your own hoisin sauce, don’t stress. Instead, grab a bottle from the store and keep it simple.

5. Salt and Pepper Shrimp

When you try this fantastic Asian shrimp recipe, you won’t believe it’s just salt and pepper.

Shrimp has a beautiful natural flavor, and as much as I enjoy adding sauce to the mix, it’s nice to let that taste shine.

But it’s not just a matter of sprinkling a little table salt and pepper after cooking. For this recipe, you’ll need to toast peppercorns and sea salt to enhance their flavor and make this really pop.

6. Halabos na Hipon

On the hunt for some incredible Filipino shrimp recipes? Try this sensational shrimp dish, flavored with your favorite sparkling citrus drink.

Yes, really.

Cooking with Sprite or 7-Up will add lemon and lime goodness as well as sugar, which means it will reduce and turn wonderfully sticky.

7. Easy Kung Pao Shrimp Recipe

If you’re craving an easy Asian takeout recipe, you have to try this scrumptious Kung Pao shrimp dinner.

This classic Sichuan dish is more commonly served with chicken, but shrimp makes a pleasant and colorful substitute.

Dried chili and peanuts are a staple for this recipe, but you can change the veggies however you like.

8. Easy Ginger Sesame Shrimp Stir-Fry

Before you start this recipe, I highly recommend doubling the sauce. Made with honey, soy sauce, and chili garlic sauce, it’s so good; you’ll want it on everything.

As with most stir-fries, you’ll want to have everything ready to go before you add anything to the pan.

The last thing you want is to have rubbery shrimp because you were busy cutting the onions!

9. Asian Chilli Garlic Prawns

Speaking of doubling the recipe, this chili sauce is to die for. Seriously, make at least twice as much because it will go fast!

Not only is this shrimp recipe bright and bursting with flavor, but it will be on the table in under 15 minutes.

It’s sticky, spicy, and downright addictive.

10. Spicy Thai Grilled Shrimp

One of the big challenges of cooking shrimp is getting everything nestled in place and turned in a hot pan before it overcooks.

By the time you’ve placed them all in a single layer, it’s time to start flipping those babies.

So, why not skip a couple of steps and make these yummy shrimp skewers? Once they’re in place, you can flip them in groups and keep them perfectly tender.

11. 4-Minute Spicy Garlic Shrimp

This is one for the heat lovers. It’s bold, spicy, and lip-smackingly good!

Better yet, it takes less than five minutes to cook and needs only a handful of simple ingredients.

To ensure this is bursting with spice, you’ll want to use chili oil with chili flakes.

12. Shrimp Tempura

It wouldn’t be a list of Asian shrimp recipes without crispy shrimp tempura.

Light, buttery, and too good to resist, this is one recipe you’ll come back to again and again.

To get the best texture, you need to ensure that the egg and the water are cold. That also means you’ll need to be careful when adding the shrimp to the hot oil.

13. Garlic Honey Lime Shrimp

I can’t tell you how good this recipe is. You’ll just have to try it for yourself!

The added lime makes this extra special, adding a fabulous layer of zesty brightness.

I also like to throw in some chopped chilis, but you don’t need them to make this tasty.

14. Gochujang Honey Shrimp

One of my favorite things about Asian-inspired recipes is that they have such complex flavors.

They manage to be sweet, savory, sour, and spicy all at once, and though they often need quite a few ingredients, they’re not complicated to follow.

This recipe uses gochujang paste to help reduce the number of ingredients. It’s a stunning red chili paste you’ll find is used in a lot of Korean dishes

15. Spicy Grilled Shrimp Skewers (Gochujang Saewu Gui)

Speaking of gochujang paste, these Korean shrimp skewers are so tasty, I just know they’ll become your new go-to.

They’re best when you cook them on the grill. That added smokiness complements the sweet and spicy marinade perfectly.

That said, you can just as easily fry, bake, or grill them in the oven.

16. Korean BBQ Shrimp

This might be called Korean BBQ, but it’s actually made in a big skillet. The BBQ refers more to the flavors than anything else.

Instead of using that red chili paste, you’ll need to find gochugaru, which are Korean chili flakes. They’ll add all the heat you need for this yummy shrimp dish.

17. Shrimp Lo Mein

When it comes to tasty noodle recipes, you can’t beat this bright shrimp lo mein.

Want to know how easy it is? All you need is shrimp, noodles, a quick soy-based sauce, and a bag of coleslaw.

That’s right; this recipe uses pre-cut cabbage and carrots, which means you don’t have to spend forever slicing everything up!

I like to use a bag with lots of different veggies inside, so the final dish is nice and colorful.

Or, you can always just slice up whatever you have on hand. Pepper and onions will always be a good option.

18. Ukoy Recipe – Filipino Shrimp Fritters

If you’re on the hunt for a unique and easy Asian appetizer, these shrimp fritters are the ones to try.

Now, you might be wondering if the picture is accurate. After all, the head is still attached! But for this dish, you’ll eat the whole shrimp, shell and all.

Of course, if you don’t want to, you can easily swap them out for regular, cleaned shrimp.

19. Healthy Shrimp Pad Thai

Years ago, I learned how to make Pad Thai in Patong, Thailand. We walked around a beautiful market, bought all fresh ingredients, and even made the curry paste from scratch!

Of course, we don’t always have the time for that or access to the same ingredients.

Luckily, this shrimp pad Thai is authentic, vibrant, and brimming with flavor. It’s also crazy-easy, so you’ll have time to make a few yummy Thai appetizers, too.

20. Shrimp Omelette

It’s funny, I love omelets and often have them with leftover chicken, beef, or pork. But I’ve never thought to throw in any shrimp!

This Chinese shrimp omelet recipe is so quick and filling that you’ll want to have it every day.

Just cook the shrimp for a minute or two, then add the beaten, seasoned eggs. Finally, add a little gochujang paste if you want a hit of spice or drizzle with Sriracha to serve.

21. Skinnyish General Tso’s Shrimp and Tofu

Do you and your family always order General Tso’s chicken? Do you love the signature sweet and spicy sauce but wish it didn’t have the heavy batter on the chicken?

If that’s you, this shrimp and tofu version is a real game-changer.

Adding tofu to the mix gives you another hit of texture, plus even more protein.

22. Miso Butter Shrimp Recipe

Made from fermented soybeans, miso paste is the definition of umami goodness. It’s uniquely savory with hints of sweetness and a salty finish.

It adds something you just can’t get with substitutions to please, be sure to get the real thing.

When you do, this shrimp recipe is the perfect jumping-off point. All you’ll need is butter, miso, mirin, sake, and ginger.

23. Easy Hunan Shrimp

Don’t want to buy a massive tub of chili paste for just one dish? Don’t worry, this is yet another shrimp recipe that calls for spicy red chili paste.

If anything, I think you’ll run out before you make it through all these tasty dinners!

Having said that, if you want to make any of these spicy meals without the heat, try swapping the chili paste out for ketchup.

24. Fried Shrimp Balls

I made these last week, and we had them again the next night. They’re that good!

Unusually, instead of chunky prawns, you’ll make something close to sausage meat with the shrimp.

Blitz it with egg white, fish sauce, sugar, corn starch, sesame oil, and white pepper until it’s paste-like. Then, roll it in the noodles and fry until golden.

Another terrific option is to roll the balls in shredded sweet potatoes.

25. Shrimp Toast

You won’t often see this yummy appetizer in the States, but it’s massively popular across the pond. That’s actually where I first tried it!

Similar to the recipe above, you’ll make a tasty shrimp puree with some key herbs and spices. That gets spread over plain white bread and sprinkled with sesame seeds.

Finally, you’ll cut the bread into quarters and deep fry until golden and delicious.
