How to Make Hibachi Steak

Follow these easy steps to turn your kitchen into a steakhouse.

1. Prep the steak. Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok on medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.

2. Cook the veggies. In the same pan, add the remaining vegetable oil and 1 teaspoon sesame oil. Add the sliced mushrooms and onions. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until softened. Add the zucchini and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

3. Add the garlic. Push the vegetables to the side of the pan. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter, then add the minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Prep the sauce. Add the soy sauce, mirin, and honey to a small bowl. Whisk to combine. Pour the sauce into the pan with the vegetables.
