  • For the Sandwich
  • 6 slices bacon

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 3 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons milk or cream

  • salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 slices cheddar cheese

  • powdered sugar, maple syrup, and berries to serve

Instructions

  1. This recipe is basically a Croque Monsieur, a French breakfast sandwich. I’ve made them many times but totally savoury, no sugar, no cinnamon. Absolutely delicious change from grilled ham, egg and cheese.
