Ingredients for Bisquick Pancakes

Here are the seven ingredients you’ll need for these incredible Bisquick pancakes:

  • Oil or Butter: To generously grease the griddle or skillet before frying the pancakes.
  • Bisquick: Using Bisquick eliminates the need for flour and leavening agents. Stick to the original mix or use one of the other varieties, such as Heart Smart Bisquick.
  • Sugar: Plain granulated sugar is fine. You just want a little to give the pancakes a hint of sweetness.
  • Milk: I like whole milk for its rich taste, but you can use whatever milk you have on hand.
  • Eggs: Eggs add moisture and act as a binding agent for the pancake batter.
  • Butter: Besides greasing the griddle, butter also plays a part in the pancake batter. Make sure it’s melted before you add it.
  • Vanilla: A rich, warm flavor enhancer that sets the pancakes over the edge.

How to Make Bisquick Pancakes

If you’ve ever made pancakes, you’ll know there’s nothing to it. And this recipe is no exception!

Here’s how to make Bisquick pancakes:

1. Prepare the griddle with oil or butter, then preheat it to 350 degrees.

2. Make the batter. Whisk together all of the ingredients. Be gentle – lumpy batter is fine!

3. Cook the pancakes. Pour 1/4 cup of batter per pancake and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on one side and 1 to 2 minutes on the other.

4. Serve and enjoy! Serve the pancakes warm with your desired toppings, and enjoy!

Topping Ideas

Part of the fun of pancakes is loading them down with toppings!

Don’t know where to start? Here are some of my go-to pancake toppings

  • Maple syrup
  • Chocolate, caramel, or strawberry syrup
  • Whipped cream
  • Peanut butter, Nutella, or other nut butters
  • Strawberry or blueberry sauce
  • Jams and jellies
  • Fresh fruit and berries
  • Chocolate or caramel chips or toffee bits
  • Powdered sugar
  • Yogurt
  • Sour cream
  • Crumbled bacon

There are no wrong answers if you ask me. So add anything that makes your stomach happy.

How to Store Pancakes

Have leftover pancakes? Don’t toss them out! You can easily store them for later.

In fact, I often make extra so I can have them the next day for a quick and easy breakfast.

To Store: Transfer cooled pancakes to a Ziploc bag or airtight container. Refrigerate them for up to 3 days.

To Freeze: Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay the pancakes in a single layer and flash-freeze for 1 to 2 hours. Then, transfer them to a freezer-safe bag with parchment paper between them for up to 2 months.

To Reheat: Reheat pancakes in an air fryer or the toaster for best results. You can reheat them chilled or straight from frozen.

Bisquick pancakes are a quick and easy breakfast for the family. And thanks to the baking mix, they require few ingredients and just 5 minutes of prep.

Ingredients

  • oil or butter, for greasing the griddle

  • 2 cups Bisquick® mix

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • Generously grease a griddle or skillet with oil or butter. Then, preheat it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (heat the skillet over medium-high).
  • Combine the Bisquick, sugar, milk, eggs, butter, and vanilla in a large bowl. Whisk until just combined – a few lumps are fine.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of batter per pancake onto the griddle and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until bubbles appear on the surface.
  • Flip the pancakes and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until brown.
  • Continue cooking pancakes until all the batter is gone.
  • Serve the pancakes warm with any desired toppings. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Optional add-ins. Use up to 1/4 cup of mini chocolate chips or 1/2 cup of fresh berries.
  • Ensure the griddle is preheated. You can test this by sprinkling water droplets onto the surface. The griddle is ready if the droplets sizzle and quickly evaporate.
