10 Best Parfait Recipes

If you’re looking for a new way to sweeten up your mornings or to have a sweet and healthy mid-day snack, check out these awesome parfait recipes

Parfaits are always a great breakfast option because they’re fast, easy, and you can easily make them the night before if you’re really not a morning person and are always rushing.

They can also be reasonably healthy as long as you pick the right ingredients.

On the other hand, they can be super decadent if that’s more your style.

For this list, I’ve tried to provide a pretty good mix of healthy options and the more flavor-centric ones, as well.

Fortunately, even the healthy ones taste amazing, so you won’t have to sacrifice flavor for nutrition. Now, let’s get to 10 of my favorite parfait recipes.

1. Black Forest Parfaits

These black forest parfaits may look decadent – and they taste that way, too – but they’ll only use a few ingredients and aren’t too bad for you.

You’ll layer these parfaits with dark chocolate cake cubes on the bottom, cherry pie filling on top of that, and top them off with homemade whipped cream.

As long as you have everything ready to go beforehand, it shouldn’t take you longer than 5 minutes to pull these together.

Of course, if you have to bake the cake and make the whipped cream, it’ll take more time.

Either way, they aren’t hard to make at all, and they’re always a massive hit, especially with kids.

Strawberry Banana Granola Parafait

2. Strawberry Banana Granola Parfaits

These take a bit longer to make because you’ll have to make your homemade granola, but again if you have some already made, the actual parfaits don’t take long to assemble.

I love these because they’re sweet and tart, smooth and crunchy, and feature two of my favorite fruits (bananas and strawberries).

The dates, cinnamon, and other ingredients combine to make a rich, multi-layered flavor that’s hard to beat.

3. Peach Parfaits

If your favorite fruit is peaches, this recipe is probably the better option for you.

It features plenty of bright peachy flavor, along with Medjool dates, Greek yogurt, granola, and vanilla extract.

If you want to make it extra special, use the recipe above to make your own homemade granola.

Otherwise, whatever you find at the store will work as well.

The recipe recommends low-sugar granola, and if you stick to that, these are a nutritious way to start the day.

After all, there’s nothing in them that’s super bad for you.

4. Strawberry Cheesecake Parfait

The strawberry cheesecake parfait is less healthy and more decadent, but if you’re craving strawberry cheesecake and don’t have time to make one, this is an excellent backup.

You can quickly whip it up in 15 minutes or less with no baking or cooking required. You will need a food processor for the graham crackers, though.

If you love the sweet and tangy flavor of strawberry cheesecake, you will love this recipe because that’s exactly what it tastes like.

5. Coconut Granola, Yogurt, and Fruit Parfaits

This five-ingredient parfait is perfect for anyone looking for a tasty, natural breakfast, dessert, or mid-day snack option.

Assuming you buy all-natural or organic yogurt and granola, everything in this parfait is fresh and from the earth: yogurt, granola, fresh berries, toasted coconut flakes, and honey.

Because you’ll have to toast the coconut, it takes some time to make, but you can do that ahead of time and have everything ready to throw together the following day.

Additionally, you can make these parfaits the night before and just grab them and go.

6. Healthy Apple Crisp Yogurt Parfait

All you’ll need for this healthy apple crisp parfait is Greek (or vanilla) yogurt, a diced apple, granola, cinnamon, and toasted pecans.

It’s crunchy and absolutely packed with fantastic fall flavor. It takes 5 minutes to prepare and will have you out the door in no time.

And there’s no need to bake your cinnamon apples. Just pop them in the microwave for 1 or 2 minutes, and you should be all set.

7. Mango Cheesecake Parfaits

These gorgeous white and gold parfaits are super tangy, bordering on tart, and feature a wealth of cream cheese and mango flavor.

If you’re looking for something overly sweet to help you start your day, these aren’t the best choice for you.

However, if you prefer something zesty and with a kick, give them a try.

The powdered sugar and graham cracker crumbs help tame the tanginess a bit – much like the crust on an actual cheesecake would – but if you still find it too sour, add some granola or nuts.

8. No-Bake S’mores Parfait

No-bake s’mores parfaits are simply gorgeous; they look like something you’ll buy at a high-priced bakery or coffee shop.

They are layer upon layer of chocolate pudding, crushed graham crackers, and marshmallow cream. The top is even more exciting!

For that, you’ll add chunks of real Hershey’s (or your favorite) chocolate bars and as many mini-marshmallows as you can cram into your parfait glass.

I won’t try to sell you on the idea that this one is good for you, but it certainly does taste fantastic!

(And it’s not all that unhealthy when compared to many other desserts.)

9. No-Bake Oreo Cheesecake Parfaits

With nothing more than crushed Oreos, cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy whipping cream, this tastes exactly like Oreo cheesecake.

The texture is a bit different because you won’t give the Oreo crust time to harden, but if you close your eyes, you really won’t know the difference between the two.

So, if sweet and tangy Oreo cheesecakes are your thing, this recipe is the one for you.

10. 5-Minute Pumpkin Parfait

If you’re looking for the perfect fall parfait, you’ve just found it. I’m certain that you will adore this 5-minute pumpkin parfait.

It has a creamy, velvety texture and comes with all the fall spices that make pumpkin pie so amazing (brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg).

You’ll even use real pumpkin puree, so it’s almost like pumpkin pie, only this parfait is much healthier for you.

You can adjust the toppings however you like – or leave them off altogether, as it tastes fine by itself – but the recipe recommends honey, chocolate chips, and chopped walnuts.

I find those to be very tasty on this particular parfait and have never felt the need to change it up any.
